I’ve been a fan of Kaldi’s for years. I used to go to the KC locations almost daily when I lived there and they were in business. They use the Firepot brand of chai, which is one of the best (along with Roasterie, a KC brand), imo. However, the chai latte I received had no flavor right out of the gate and the texture tasted watered down (even before the ice had melted). To add salt to the wound, it cost $7. If I hadn’t already tried two other places that were out of chai that day, I wouldn’t have purchased it. My policy is to never spend more than $6 on a latte including tip (especially considering you can make it at home using the same brand of chai mix and specialty milk for about $2 per 16 oz serving).

A nice little coffee shop with a local feel. Maybe 4-6 tucked away tables where it is more quiet. There are only 2 bar chairs against the window on the cafe side. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly staff!

Service is great. Wish there was more seating.

There are some good folks working here, and some presumptuous little humanoids, too. May you always be graced by the former.

When spending time in café, I feel like they are indeed trying to troll people with the music they play much of the time - hits FM rotation from the 90s, like “The Hotstepper” and other songs I still hope to forget about. Bring your headphones.

The quality of the offerings is pretty good generally, though the prices seem a bit elevated to me, controlling for inflation. Give it a try, maybe with enough patronage it will return to its previous glory; maybe it will stagnate and be replaced by another self-satisfied cafe that closes before seniors’ supper time on a regular basis.

Excellent breakfast and coffee. The cold brew was high quality and breakfast burrito quite good. My wife got the avocado toast which was absolutely decadent. Will be back for more breakfast dates in the future!

Great place for breakfast and the drinks were delicious. The gooey butter cake was certainly a highlight and couldn't resist taking a few bites before getting a picture.

My favorite coffeehouse has fallen short. Ordered a chocolate chai latte that was horribly over-sweetened. On a second visit, the matcha latte was sickeningly sweet.
The avocado on toast was mashed rather than chopped and had a varied ingredients (feta, vinigrette) that made the simplicity of avocado toast too complicated.
The passion and pride of those who crafted the drinks and food seemed to be missing. Cheerful customer service missing on the two days that I was there.

One of the best local coffee shops! Friendly and helpful staff that are open to make suggestions if you're having trouble choosing. Delicious coffee. Nice vegetarian food options. Internet is usually nice and quick. I especially appreciate the later evening hours. Peak times can be pretty busy and hard to find a place to fit-- I'm in the way no matter where I wait.

Pretty good! Atmosphere and location were great! Neat building and wonderful view of the park just east of the Seminary. Tight roads to navigate, much better with a smaller vehicle or bicycle. Coffee was meh. Tasted like it had sat for a bit. Not bad, but have had better.
