Would’ve loved to try the coffee, but the barista was too busy vaping outside and taking pictures of the drinks she was making for her friends. Sat for a long while without being approached, and there were no other customers in the building besides the barista and her friends. Ended up leaving with nothing. Unfortunate.

Very cool vibe. They know coffee. Came in from out of town looking for a nitro cold brew. They were out, but the kind barista prepped me a pour over with Colombian beans aged in whiskey barrels. One of the most unique, best coffees I've had! Do yourself a favor, skip Starbucks and get to Mokaska.

I’ve never tried pumpkin spice and tried it for the first time at Mokaska a couple of weeks ago. I loved it and the fact that they had oat milk made even better! I can’t wait to go back!

This place has great coffee and kombucha. The jack fruit sandwich that I had was excellent.

Been trying to get to this place for a while, but the hours are tough for anyone working 8-5. Made a trip downtown Saturday 12/2 specifically for Mokaska - it was not great.
The negative experience started the moment I stepped up to the counter. I told the only staff member that I had never been to Mokaska before but I had heard they fresh roasted coffee beans daily on site for sale.
She stared at me in silence for while like I had alien antenna protruding from my face before sarcastically saying "yeeeaaaaahhh .... So? ... What do you want?"
I reiterated that I had not been there before and asked about their bean blends/roasts. I ordered a pour-over. I was hoping to try a few of their beans because ultimately I was looking to make them my new bean source. I love coffee and honestly spend more than I should, but fresh roasted and local sounded worth the wait and expense to me. I paid $3.50 for my plain pour-over coffee.
20 minutes later!
After the barista had taken orders and made coffee for 4 other customers I walked up and interrupted her while she was taking the order of a 5th customer. I asked if my coffee was done yet and she went "Oh yeah I'm sorry" and dumped my coffee into a mug without asking if I wanted it to go (which after a 20 minute I did).
I sat down and took a sip, but of course the coffee was pretty cool by then. To top it all off the air in the place was dusty. I get it's an old downtown building with few windows, but they need to get filters or something in there. The whole place smelled like dust.

Nice, quiet, variety, charming patio.

Trying a little too hard to be cool. "Bartender" - aloof.
Drinks - Pricey. Atmosphere - Nice. Patrons - Don't know, pretty empty on a Friday night.

Always fresh locally roasted beans sourced from a variety of regions. Innovative specialty products. Full bar too and open late Friday and Saturday night. Active in the community with charitable organizations. A revival of a 19th Century St. Joseph roasting brand that distributed coffee as far west as Seattle in the 1890s!

I tried a muffin, was satisfying. Coffee tastes really good. Will go with 5 ⭐️ on this one for sure.

It's cozy and welcoming. Staff is friendly and civilized. Service is quick and courteous. Beverages that are advertised and sold are incredible and affordable. Definitely would recommend to anyone.
