Mario's Donut & Café

Baklava heaven without a doubt. Service is outstanding every time! This place is a jewel hidden in St Charles. Hummus that can compete with anywhere else in The 🇺🇸 and I've been all over. Thanks to all the wonderful staff!!!!

Wow! The doughnuts were incredible! Strong recommendation for the glazed and cinnamon twist options. We also tried the western omelette and it was the best homemade-style omelette I've had. We'll definitely be back!

Love their Gyro’s and Donuts. Today I stopped and I had forgot my wallet. The lovely woman with the dreadlocks (I did not get her name) paid for my food. She insisted I take my lunch. She will be rewarded for her kindness. Gyro was excellent. So much food. I have lunch for 2 days. Local and delicious.

Moved here a year ago and got a donut and coffee 2-3 times a week. A couple of months ago they lost their donut maker, several weeks with no donuts. Eventually they started having donuts again, but they were terrible. Not sure if there’s a new cook or if they are buying someone else’s products.

Normally, when a restaurant tries to do too many things, it ends up having bad food on all fronts. Not for Mario's! Mario's manages to have delicious gyros, breakfast food, donuts, and more. A great little place to eat! I was impressed by the food and the selection.

This place is delicious! The gyro is great as well as their donuts. I haven't had much else from here though and wish they had more food options. The staff is very nice and friendly. Will come back for sure.

Been meeting up with my dad here for breakfast after finding it with my family. Everything on the menu is amazing. The gyros are beyond compare, all of the breakfast items are delicious and their selection of doughnuts is top notch. Pricing is beyond fair for everything and the staff is super nice. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

Have been a loyal customer since Mario & Mo first started this awesome place, and even after an employee bought it from them, it’s been a favorite of our family for many years. But the person or persons who recently purchased it are terrible business people, and have no idea what customer service is. I wish they would change the name because they’re running it into the ground. My husband went here for lunch on his day off recently around the end of June/beginning of July 2021 & ordered the same thing he has ordered as long as Mario’s has been in business, a gyro sandwich. The meat was simply awful & he explained it as tasting like it was dropped on the ground in mud. He went to try to speak with someone discreetly, but instead of listening to him and making it right by making him another gyro, they told him to leave, that there was nothing wrong with it. Just FYI, we will not be customers as long as the current owners are still running it. With all the restaurants wanting business, you made a bad move.
