I highly recommend the drive from Springfield to eat at this little southern gem. Huge portion sizes, amazing food, and lowest prices. We had the catfish and 4 piece fried chicken, both came with choice of potato, vegetable, toast, and soft serve ice cream, $9.19 each. They're not lying about Rosie having the best fried chicken! We're from the deep south and this was some of the best catfish and fried chicken we've had in ages! It took 30 minutes for our food but it was well worth the wait. You can tell it is homemade, fresh to order. They also have a large selection of homemade pies, only $2.99 a slice, we shared a piece of the peanut butter meringue. Wow, best darn pie I've ever had!! Of course we took home leftovers for dinner. Our total bill was only $23 for the two of. Looking forward to trying breakfast next visit!

The food is American country fare, can be busy any time. If you want the fried chicken dinner it takes 30 minutes. You can call ahead so they can start cooking it. BTW, the sides are corn or pinto beans. The fried chicken and fish is delicious!

We have been eating at Rosie Jo’s for around 30 years. The food has always been good. But the last few times we’ve been there the service has been terrible. Today we met friends there for lunch. It took almost two hours from the time we were seated until we finally got our food. We had to rush to eat because we all had places we had to be before long. I would have talked to someone then, but it was not an appropriate time concerning our situation just then. I think this may have been our final visit. I hope you can find more employees.😢🐓

Great place to eat home style food. Great variety of food. Loved the catfish, meatloaf and chef salad. 4 of us eat for less than 50 plus tip. Good size meals, extras and drinks plus pies 🥧 😋

Family Porter

Perfect fried chicken and the “villa” cheese steak sandwich was excellent. Thanks and we will be back for more.

I have eaten here quite a few times. I've probably already reviewed BUT... This place is that good! Home cooked comfort food to me.

I recently visited Rose Jo's Cafe this past Saturday May 7, 2022. I made a point to do my research on Fried chicken gizzards as I put on a 417 Restaurant Social Media Food Group I belong to for suggestions. After getting multiple remarks, that Rosie Joe's by far had the highest recommendation for this Restaurant. I took my Mother there for her Birthday because she loves Chicken gizzards. When we ordered our server informed us that gizzards were available on Friday and then till they ran out. Our order was brought to us and I began noticing my Mom wasn't finishing her order. I asked her to be honest "How are the gizzards? " She replied, their fine. My tenderloin sandwich was good and she insisted we didn't ask them to remake them. In addition, our server was visibly busy. My Sprite I ordered was not carbonated and getting extra napkins was lengthy. So after paying for the meal, I didn't address the issue, tipped the waiter and returned home. All in all my Mom was still hungry after I paid 28 dollars for the meal. I feel as a restaurant Rosie Jo's could definitely improve. In addition I did give the waiter a 10% tipp because working personally in the food industry, the server's wages shouldn't suffer because the restaurant is understaffed and cook's not doing a better job.
