MiMi's Coffee House & Ice Cream

Walked over here from the Quality Inn & Suites. The giant sign and pineapple décor drew us in. The staff was extremely welcoming and the coffee was exactly what I wanted! I got a toffee nut latté and it was perfection. Not brewed too hot so that the espresso still held it's flavor, not too much syrup to mask the coffee, and just enough milk. I really love the way the place has been decorated as well! It has a rustic yet modern feel. Kind of an oxymoron but it somehow works!

Owner needs to spend more time working and training, less time marketing. Asked for an extra HOT latte, they said they could do it. It was hardly even warm when I got it. Certainly not hot, let alone extra hot. It’s like this every season. Promises promises. Baby bottle warm lattes. :/

Who trains these baristas? Because I’ve heard of similar experiences where simple requests are rarely fulfilled + ignorance of basic drink preparation.

Cupcake was from a previous trip. So, even the baked goods aren’t safe.

They’re just a mess here. Owner’s responsibility to make it right. We frequent this business relatively regularly. It’s not worth this sort of inconsistency.

Driving through from out of state, decided to grab some coffee before hitting the road again. HIGHLY IMPRESSED. I never leave reviews if places are just average so this tells you something.

It wasn’t busy at all (not sure why!) the lady who took our order was quick, patient and professional. Breakfast sandwich was one of the best we have ever had same as the coffee.

We decided to put this on a list to make sure we have more than once in our life, even if it’s 10 hours away from home!

Got a salted caramel latte breve and it was made perfect, so warm and comfy! I also got a warm plain bagel that was super good. Service was great and fast for a Tuesday morning. Totally recommend and will visit again when in town!

The ladies in there were so helpful and kind when we came in! Answered all our questions, and the drinks were absolutely delicious

This is a great stop for us when doing the long drive to/from IL on 36. It’s not right off the road, but it’s close and worth the “detour.” Good espresso for the area, nice sandwiches and baked goods, great hours, and friendly staff. Would recommend!

My sandwich was okay.
The Frappuccino was fantastic.
The brownies were not fresh, dried out. Had to have been a couple days old. But the young girls working were nice.

Always a welcoming atmosphere. Everything is clean, neat and orderly. Iced mocha is my fav! Highly recommend stopping by for a quick pick me up.

So freaking good. I can't even. Their chai lattes are to die for. Amazing pumpkin bread, coffee, grilled cheese w/pesto, oatmeal raisin cookie, Buffalo chicken wrap, roast beef cheddar/gouda, chocolate chip cookie. Just so incredibly delicious, we went for dinner last night and had to stop in again this morning for more.

Their service is always excellent and fast. Prices are very reasonable and their drinks are absolutely amazing. We love coming here whenever we're in the area.
