Great donuts but was closed one day, on a Monday

I lived in Starkville for over 15 years, but moved out of state in 2005. Every time we come back in town for a visit, we have to ‘eat our way’ around Starkville. Shipleys is ALWAYS our most favorite stop. We even take donuts across state line to share with others who have never had, what might be, the BEST donut on earth. Unfortunately, this round, we were let down. We came to the shop around 7am, to find there were no donuts to be had. About 2 hours later, we tried again. Again, we were disappointed. Four people making donuts and they couldn’t keep up. The manager seemed nice, but totally dismissed the issue and acted flippant about the situation. Lots of people in line were also displeased, but there were plenty of large Togo orders leaving the store. Better planning might be needed to fulfill the demand of these ‘sugar nuggets’

Love the donuts. The fun part is going there after 5 pm, when you can get donuts in half price !!

Went to Shipley's in Starkville this morning. Was disappointed as to the lack of donut selections. was out of most donuts. Grandkids wanted chocolate and strawberry sprinkled donuts- didn't have any.

So do not know if they were out or had lack of supply issues....

The most amazing front casher lady greater me as soon as I walked in and helped me answer all my questions. She had me laughing and enjoying every second of my visit. The kids ate EVERY bite of their donuts no complaints or bribes needed.

If you have never had a Shipley Do-Nut, then you are missing out. I've always been a fan of their donuts. The blueberry cake is by far my favorite! The staff here are very friendly and courteous. Get there early, because they sell out of the good stuff quick! Of course they are pretty much making glazed constantly, it's the other donuts that sell out.

Shipley's is delicious!! You cannot go wrong with their original glazed donuts!! I also love their sausage and cheese rolls, if you can get there before these sell out, grab one they are so good!

This little donut shop has great food and a wonderful bunch of people working there. Seating is limited, but it seems like most folks are getting stuff to take with them. We thought there'd be some donuts left out of the half dozen we bought, but my son fixed that up in no time! There's currently some construction going on next door, which made finding it slightly tricky, but it was worth turning around for.

The dounuts are great but they are always out of pretty much everything but original after lunch. So got to go early. Also some of the employees have been alittle not friendly. Also there times on door and online says they are open Sunday 5:30 to2:00pm. I drove 25 mins got here at 1:25 and they are closed. Very disappointed I wasted so much time and gas to go somewhere that lies about their hours.
