Mississippi Grounds

This is a nice little place, friendly and pleasant. They have nice lunches, nice choice of coffee, excellent service.
BUT: Thursdays they sell BBQ meats that they make themselves in that big old smoker outside. They are quite expensive but I am pretty sure they are the best smoked meats I ever tried. I had ribs and they were absolutely awesome. So every day of the week, it's a nice place, good for lunch and to sit down with a friend and have a quiet friendly chat. Thursdays it's a super-duper out-of-this-world BBQ place.

I’m from a town where we have local coffee houses everywhere and so I was delighted to find this coffee house in Cleveland for my quarterly visits here. This was a different coffee house originally, and I thought it to be closed so I was really excited about finding it again. Let me say the coffee is good, but the lunch is delightful! I ordered the 3 item plate with chicken salad, grape salad, and pimento cheese. It’s all made in house and was so fresh! I would totally recommend getting a bite to eat with your coffee, and taking some home as they sell it in pints! I will definitely make this a regular stop when I’m in town!

Cozy little local coffee shop. Be sure to look at the menu on the counter for some local goodness. Holly Norman and Grilled Zeb were our favorites. Tuesday and Thursday they cook up some BBQ that we weren't lucky enough to try, but it sure smelled yummy.

Whenever I visit Cleveland I have always loved coming to Mississippi Grounds. They had great coffee and the biscottis were amazing! Highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, today I walked in to find that the woman making the coffee wasn’t wearing a mask and that they were serving customers who were also not wearing masks. I cannot support a business that does not follow mandates or science. It makes me wonder what other rules and laws they’re choosing to ignore. Not to mention, the lack of mask wearing puts my health at risk. Unfortunately, I will no longer be recommending this cafe and I won’t be visiting it again.

I've got to say, I'm not at all impressed with their coffee. I'll admit I do like a strong cup of joe.
The daily riddle is cool, and I like the atmosphere, but If you just want a strong cup of coffee, I recommend Zoe.
But, if you don't like your coffee too strong, definitely give Mississippi Grounds a try!

Decent coffee.
Staff is friendly.
All the food is microwaved, don't expect anything prepared fresh.

Delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Trendy industrial atmosphere. Today I discovered their sweet snack called "Cotton Blossoms" (buttered popcorn laced with white chocolate). Yummy!

They seemed real nice and I didnt try the coffee, but I got a chicken biscuit and it was a gross defrosted fried gray meat patty, and the biscuit was burnt?? whyyy
