Great food, the soup is delicious. Pretty sure it is home made. They have home made bread for their sandwiches! Sometimes service leaves something to be desired, but never a bad interaction. Coffee - great! Also... large portions.... the cookies are huge!!

Great location for breakfast meetings and can accommodate good size groups too. Lots of room but still feels cozy, lots of local artwork on the walls that's available for sale and just nice to look at. Good coffee, I like their breakfast quiche.

Great coffee. Excellent food. Cool atmosphere with local art and music.

We thought the food was very tasty and the service was fast. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Only gave 4 stars because the portions were a bit smaller than expected and the food was a little soggy by the time we ate (we also ordered takeout).

Love having lunch here. Usually a delectable sandwich and a cookie or bar, mammoth in size.
Then go to Pieces of the Past shopping. Great times .

Great sandwich and soup spot.

Terrific spot for a lunch or dinner. While in the area, was a regular visitor (a sandwich and chili here was a staple of my diet for the better part of 4 years). Atmosphere is warm, with plenty of inviting smells. Very much enjoyed the changing decor from the local artists, and the live music was always a treat.

Can't comment on the coffee, but the ice cream was good!

Really cute place. Came for lunch today with my husband. The layout of the tables and booths is really nice. Love the art on the walls. The drinks were great. And I had THE best hot sandwich I have ever had in my life. I had the ham hoagie with no tomatoes but all other ingredients as is (lettuce, onions, mild yellow peppers, mayo and the secret sauce). Super soft hoagie bun with the perfect ratio of all ingredients. Also the staff was great. Definitely will be making the trip from LaCrosse to enjoy this place more often. Thank you!

EDIT: Five stars for the candid and kind response from the owner. Thank you so much for the info!

I’m pretty positive this is either a copy cat of Hogan’s in Northfield or the two were at some point related. You can’t find any evidence of this online, but the signage is exactly the same and the sandwiches are exactly the same and even the tables are exactly the same. Can someone confirm? Saw another copy of the same sandwich shop in Eau Claire.

The food is great! Tastes just like Hogan’s.

Oh and for the record, I say copycat because the Northfield location (which actually has Acoustic Cafe in the name) opened in 1991 and this location opened in 1993.

The food and coffee here is consistently great, and the staff is always friendly. They have live music here quite often, but even then it's a relaxed atmosphere. This is one of those rare cafes that is good at everything they do, but isn't snobbish about it. It's easy to see right away why this place is a bit of a community hub.
