I got to see the mayor and had good food!

This is such a fun and quaint place along Main Street in Wanamingo. The staff and owners are very personable. Although I didn't try all of the baked goods, there was much more than I could have imagined and all looked delicious.

Food was amazing but unfortunately it took awhile to get because they focused on take out orders over those dining in. Next time I guess we'll get it to go!

Great original comfort food! Great service and atmosphere- feels like you are in a Twin Cities cafe experience without the hassle of the Twin Cities- worth the drive- come check it out. Coffee and deserts are to die!

Today was our first day in MN being allowed to eat in a restaurant after a long lock down, and we truly enjoyed our meal at Area 57. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the staff is friendly. Thank you Area 57 for providing us a WONDERFUL place to dine.

First time, great time! I'll be back - might get that 5th star! EDIT: Went back, was even better the second time! 😄 5th star earned!

We love Area 57...they have so many good daily specials...their sandwiches are all very good. BLT my favorite but my kids love the grilled cheese. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Watch out for their pies....all homemade and delicious....save room. 😀 stopped in today 9-29-2017....nothing has changrd...still great!!!!!

Friendly small town cafe
My niece and I were looking for someplace out of the way and found Area 57 Cafe on Google maps.
At Monday lunch the crowd was elderly and mostly local. Note: There are fewer open places on Mondays in Southeast Minnesota outside of Rochester.
The food is fairly typical for a small farming town (i.e. meat-centric). A vegan would have trouble getting anything but salad.

My niece ordered the Southwest chicken sandwich and I ordered a deli cheese sandwich. Both came with chips and pickles. The service was very fast. Both sandwiches were good and we finished all of them. My only criticism was that the "swiss" cheese was processed not real. The two sandwiches plus a large iced latte came to $21 and change.

Would recommend if you're in the area.

The food is really good and the two brothers are class acts and awesome. You won't be disappointed trust me. I'm from Texas and I travel all over the country. .I really appreciate this place... not very many places like this in a small town.

Fantastic food and service This is one of my girlfriend's favorite spots. I had the triple decker, and it was perfect. Good coffee drinks. We don't get out here during open hours much but I look forward to returning.
