Cafe Steam at One Discovery Square

My first time at this location, will definitely return. The staff was helpful, drinks were delicious and beautiful. Lots of quick grab breakfast items. We tried the giant biscotti with chocolate chips. I kid you not, it hung over the plate. It’s for sure a serving for 2-4. However, very good in my Macha
The guest with me just had a light roast cup of coffee. Said it was VERY good, and she too will return. The area has to be amazing in the warmer months, great outdoor seating.
The seating is ample with several groupings near the stairs. Lots of plug in for laptop and working. It wasn’t loud, so I’d you were trying to study- it’s a wonderful spot. Very large windows from floor to ceiling. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to set with a cup of coffee and watch it snow.

There are several Cafe Steam locations in Rochester, all serving excellent coffee, but this location is my favorite for the wonderful atmosphere - the floor-to-ceiling windows are fantastic in the wintertime and provide a great place to study or have out of office meetings. If you're a Mayo employee, you should be able to access the Mayo network from this location.

One thing I really appreciate is that the baristas are really friendly and helpful, and the people behind the counter are often the ones roasting the coffee at their local Colorway coffee facility.

My tips: If you like drip coffee, come before 9am for a $1 coffee. Their waffles are excellent, and in the summer, try out their spiced Thai.

I have had both White Chocolate Moca’s and their medium roast coffee. Both are excellent. The Baristas are highly trained. The atmosphere is very relaxing with mild music playing.

Speedy and pleasant service. The Wilson (special coffee this month, March 2022) was great! Toasted coconut was super tasty. Some folks might be put off by having shaved coconut to chew in their coffee, but I loved it!

Baristas here are phenomenal. I get a white chocolate mocha and it is excellent every time. It can be super busy and the service and quality never stray from perfect.

Very nice staff and tasty coffee. I'm not particular about my coffee so 4 stars because its expensive. 2 black coffees, 1 small dirty chai, and 3 scones will run you almost $30 if you tip 15-20%.

Good vibes but not that good coffee

Love this space!! It’s unique, open, welcoming and rather inspiring. Of course, Steam is wonderful and the waffles are an awesome addition!

Kinda unique coffee shop. Not you normal coffee shop atmosphere but cool that you can go up a couple levels and kinda sit wherever you want.
