The place is gorgeous, not too big and not too small. It was a busy time, but it was not that loud, aside from my noisy toddler. However, the food was kind of a letdown. I had high expectations, but the food was no better than fast food. I got the hamburger and butterfly shrimp with soup, fries and Texas toast and a slice of pie. First, my hamburger was bland, I think it wasn’t seasoned. Next, my soup was a beef and bean soup and it was way too salty. The shrimp and fries were good. The Texas toast was more like a hobbit toast. And the “homemade” pie filling tasted like it was made with canned fruit. Hope they can address these issues and I would love to give it another shot.

Very good food. Very friendly staff. We shared giggles with staff and next table customers. It was an enjoyable first time visit. Weve been craving our specialty sandwiches and will return soon. Thank you Jill's Cafe!

First visit to Jill's Cafe and it won't be our last. We were greeted at the door by a waitress with a friendly hello while an elderly man waited for his take out order. Did I mention we were in a winter storm? We order the fish dinner and 21 shrimp special which came with an awesome salad bar. My only disappointment was that it wasn't Thursday so I would have enjoyed their beef commercial special. The waitresses were quick on their feet and wore big smiles as did those dining. We had no room for their homemade pie selection but we did manage to order a piece of sour cream raisin pie to take home!

Great little hometown cafe. Always friendly when I come in. They have great pies and burgers. They also have a farmers market here I'm not sure if it's every other Monday or one Monday a month in the parking lot.

Jack's Burger was a tasty feast - a hamburger done to perfection with some delicious cheddar and bacon - loved it! Also enjoyed a side salad and an amazing slice of Snicker's Pie! Also happy that they serve Pepsi products here. The atmosphere is upscale hometown cafe. My servers Makiya and Abby were attentive, prompt and friendly. This is the real Minnesota hometown cafe experience. I will definitely visit again! (This was my first visit). Thank you Jill's Cafe!!

Even when they’re busy the staff is still friendly and helpful. I’ve never been here before and I was so excited to see this cute cafe on the side of the road. We were seated quickly after having a buzzer to let us know when to come in and our waitress greeted us right away and got our food orders in as soon as possible. The prices on the menu seem fair for a smaller cafe and the accommodations they keep, and the menu is full of great choices for more plain or adventurous eaters!

Cute place. Food was good, but not fancy. Basic diner fare. Had the eggs and hamburger steak breakfast. Companion had shrimp basket. Both were prepared well. Staff was friendly and attentive but not chatty. Perfect for a busy lunch hour.

This used to be in downtown Richmond but they built this new building a few years ago so the place is clean and pleasant. The decor is a bit dark but there is plenty of light to read the menu. As for the food it's exactly what you'd expect from a small town Minnesota dinner. They do have a reputation for their pies. It's worth a stop if you're in the area but not worth making a special trip. Also, Sunday through Thursday they are only open for lunch and dinner. Friday and Saturday they are open until 7pm.
