Initially, we asked around for the best coffee shop and no one mentioned it. Seems it is better known as a Café or barista, which it rightly is. It located conveniently only a short distance off Highway 71 in the downtown are of Park Rapids on 3rd Street not far from Hugo’s Marketplace.
We’ve now dropped in four times when traveling and visiting friends in the area.
We’ve had the Chia Tea, Coffee, and Hot Chocolate. Upon request, the staff was quick to bring out Almond milk for me and honey, as I prefer my coffee that way. The Frittata has a generous proportion of fresh veggies with the egg and cheese. It was served nice and hot which was idea. We’ve had scones and the Chocolate Crust Raspberry Cheesecake here, too. Items taste just baked.
I like sitting upstairs in the glass ceiled dine-in space. It’s sunny and cheerful. Initially we missed that they also have a large dining area behind the order and pickup station. It was perfectly accompanying several young families this visit; it offers easy space for pulling up highchairs. There is a ramp to this area but the upstairs means climbing several steps, which popular with the teens.
Their customer service and friendliness, and helpfulness are top notch. It’s become our go-to coffee stop whenever in the area. Parking was a bit challenging this time but not usually. We asked two neighboring businesses if we could please park there but did not gain permission.
Prices are very fair. It always seems full of happy locals and showcases a welcoming community spirit.

Great place to stop for espresso and a light bite to eat. They have a wide assortment of hot and iced coffee-based beverages and so many different flavored syrups to choose from in addition to a small wine selection. The solarium section is my preferred place to sit no matter the time of year and makes for a beautiful place to visit with friends. It’s also a nice place to tuck into a corner with an outlet and quietly work for those needing to escape the home office. Friendly staff that appreciates their regulars.

Lovely & quaint! You can not leave life until you have eaten here! The staff is friendly & helpful - Park Rapids is blessed to have this in their list of local businesses. I had a chicken panini (#4) & my husband had roast beef (#1). #lifechanging 🙂 (also...yes, they have gluten free bread)

Everyone has to try Bella. They have good sandwiches and scones. Sitting in the upper room makes the visit special. A good hang out spot.

THE BEST sandwiches and paninis!! The ladies are super cool and sweet, and the owner is a gem of a woman. Nice, relaxing, pleasant environment. They make great hot drinks and the best pineapple smoothie around!

Bella Cafe is truly a local gem in downtown Park Rapids. My wife and I spent a few hours working while enjoying beverages, locally sourced coffee, sandwiches, and treats. Everything from the kind and attentive staff and the ambiance to the quality of products was outstanding. Luckily, we don't live in Park Rapids - or we would be there everyday! 😊

My son and I stopped in, he got a chai tea and I got a Blackberry, white chocolate latte and veggie frittata. The frittata was so good! It had a great proportion of veggies with the egg and cheese, and it was hot! The chai tea came out piping hot as well and my son commented that it was not as sweet as other chais that he's had, but he liked it. The latte was a little less hot, but that's expected with lattes. I've now visited twice and will stop in again next time I'm in the area.

This is the happiest café! The workers are ever so pleasant, the coffee hot and delicious, the atmosphere warm and inviting. They go the extra mile to serve you and meet your needs. I even had the lady offer frothed oat milk for my plain black coffee. ☕️

One of my wife's favorite coffee ☕️ spot! We only get to stop in once or twice a year when we are camping in Itasca state park. But always worth the drive from the park!
