I love the HideAway!! This place is always so friendly with such an incredible atmosphere. The owners are so personable and inviting. The staff is upbeat and always willing to make a lasting impression. I love that the second generation of the Spauldings are always around and helping out. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone looking to sit back for a few minutes to a few hours. Thank you.

I had a half sandwich, cup of homemade wild rice soup and a kale salad. It was delicious! Oh and a cappuccino too! This place is so cute! I found out a Hallmark movie was filmed here. Very cool.

Cozy café in downtown Northfield MN. Great food and coffee and great place to meet friends for conversation.

Nice little cafe in Northfield. They have some good meal options and the chance to add beer or wine to a light lunch makes it a very nice spot for a relaxing meal. There is some outdoor setting - maybe enough for 8 people total. Since it sits right on the main drag of town in a row with other shops, there just isn't room for outdoor seating. They also have a nice selection of teas available and they do have some interesting specials so keep an eye out for those.

Why wouldn't you frequent this place? I had the Stratta ( veggie something or other). A little on the dry side, but great flavors nonetheless. Dry cappuccino was on point. Classic ambience, cozy coffee shop. I'll be back.

This is what a coffee shop should be! When you walk in the atmosphere is welcoming, the baristas ask all the right questions for the "right drink" for you, the food is limited for good reason because they have local items and do it right with what they serve, and the best part..... they are absolutely friendly.

This was my first visit here, after my doctor's appointments. The staff told me I could sit at a larger table. There was a sign on the table asking students not to do their homework on a larger table, and I was not doing that, just organizing my life before I went home. A woman came up to me, asked me to move because the location of the table better suited her party to talk. I moved. I told her (a patron) I would never go back.

Always a good experience coming into the Hideaway. Friendly staff and good food. I would recommend it to anyone. I have been a regular for awhile and I am greeted by name and always get fantastic service and my favorite food from downtown northfield

The muffins are amazing. Crunchy and still soft all at the same time. The drinks are traditional. A mocha for instance is only a few Oz in size and not diluted by milk like at Starbucks.
