Neutral Groundz

I used to really like this place. I understand times are hard post covid with staffing and such, but nowadays my order is usually incorrect, the staff don’t seem to care whether they get it right on the first try or not, and even the home decor and gift selection has declined. With so many other coffee choices in mankato, it would be difficult for me to return now with so many subpar experiences recently.

Excellent service and if you are looking for a unique gift, check this place out. They have the cutest baby clothes and home decor. Check it out and you won’t be disappointed.

This coffee shop is adorable!!! It has a bunch of food and drink options, and there's a lot of space. They also sell home decor and candles and stuff, which is awesome. It's basically like a Christmas store that sells coffee too. The prices for the food & drinks are actually pretty cheap, cheaper than the big chain coffee shops.

I'm on a month long road trip and finding a good latte is harder than I anticipated!

I stopped in here hoping for a decent drink. I entered through the back and was surprised to see some adorable baby clothing and SO MUCH cute home decor. Everything was so beautiful and CLEAN! As I walked through, every staff member asked if there was something particular I was looking for or if they could help in anyway. I placed my order and looked around some more and wish I could have just sat there and enjoyed the space.

The restroom had a great design and was also so clean!

The most important part of my review: I wish they had coconut milk or heavy cream but they do have some other alternatives. I ordered one latte with almond milk and another breve. Both were steamed perfectly and the espresso is smooth! This was a perfect stop to get a great latte!

Neutral Groundz is a lovely coffee shop and store. Had their Drip coffee and a turkey cranberry sandwich when I sopped in with a friend. We had a fun time walking around the shop portion before sitting down to eat lunch. atmosphere is quaint and clean.

Who are these people leaving these 5-star reviews? Maybe it's because I don't expect coffee shops to also be trying to sell me home decor, but I was sorely unimpressed with this place. The food was fine, the coffee was disappointing, and perhaps my least favorite part of the whole place: everything is to-go. I went there to get lunch with a friend and my coffee was in a to-go cup, and all my food (a chicken wrap and dessert) was on a paper plate with plastic utensils. It is absolutely appauling that a restaurant/coffee shop would be creating so much waste. As someone who is conscious of the amount of plastic I buy and prioritizes reusable products, I will not be going there again unless they make a change to be more environmentally conscious.

I really enjoyed the place and the environment here but I was recently accused of forging the punch holes on my free coffee card despite knowing that I am a regular customer. It was very rude and uncalled for. Nice place but the employees were so rude about this!

I recommend you go to either the coffee hag or filling station. Both places have good coffee and they treat people equally!!

If you’re getting your coffee from anywhere else, you’re wasting your time and money. From the excellent quality coffee and food, to fun and interactive employees, and especially that atmosphere that is so inviting and interesting; you’re not only getting your morning cup, you’re getting an uplifting coffee experience. My hope is that if you haven’t been to Neutral Groundz, you’ll see this review and go give them a try. I promise you’ll be hooked!

P.S. If you’re a motorcycle rider, it’s a wonderful destination with many scenic routes to get there.

Place seems nice and trendy. Coffee was pretty good, but I will likely only come back after covid ends since there were a lot of people in the sitting area studying, with no food or drinks, that did not have masks on and weren't being told to wear them.

Pretty- but the yogurt parfait was just yogurt and the cheesecake was actually whipped cream so some things could use an upgrade in my opinion as far as snacks go.
