I've been going to Cup a Joe for a very long time. I personally cannot drink coffee so I'll speak to the food. I always get the peanut bitter banana panini for a lunch option. It's usually on a multi grain bread and is delicious. I used to get their breakfast burrito which is massive and definitely filling. Their muffins, scones, and cookies are good as well if not a little hard to get later in the day (the muffins especially). The scones are large in comparison to most scones I've seen and do tend to be slightly dry so enjoy with a beverage of your choice (the flavor is always good). The huge advantage of Cup a Joe though is that it's drive through. When it's busy your wait is usually around 10 mins to get to the window. I never go if there are more than 4 cars in line to order. Also they do serve cold pressed juice that is made by them. As a heads up it is $10 for a bottle. Wouldn't get again for that price but the one I had was delicious. Everything else I've bought seems reasonably price.
Received a delicious, simple turkey bagel, cappuccino and scone through the takeout window after ordering by phone. High quality, the freshly toasted bagel was light with a delicate crust. The chocolate chip caramel scone was generous in size and almost as fluffy as a cake. They have whole milk for your cappuccino if you desire it. The espresso has a lot of flavor and is not over roasted.
She didn’t greet us, bad very bad customer service. It was terrible. first she said huh? like we were the dumb ones then they had the audacity to be out of strawberries. how do you mess up a smoothie? i’m not quite sure but they know how. Def needs some assistance
I've been here 5-6 times and the menu items have always been solid. The place suffers from very slow service. It's consistently the least efficient coffee shop I've ever frequented. Staff is nice but the wait times make this my last choice for coffee or baked goods in Montevideo.
We picked up coffee and cookies for a business meeting in town and the cookies were AMAZING! Honestly, the best, softest cookie I may have EVER had (received a variety of flavors but the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookie was the one I had). Highly recommend and would definitely go back. The family that owns it was super friendly and nice. They were fabulous to work with!
I enjoy regularly getting a little coffee and treat here. The staff is always super nice and helpful. When you are on the go it is nice to be able to use the drive through.
Excellent sandwiches, excellent soup. Today was chili. They make excellent drinks, like chai tea, keto coffee, and Italian sodas. I don't Normally drink coffee, but I love their keto coffee.
