Great place for great food and drinks that holds a ton of people. Great for small or large groups with outdoor seating. AWESOME staff!!!

Great food and drinks! Our whole group loved their food - fish & chips, pretzel apps, seafood chowder and club sandwich. Atmosphere is pub like and cozy.

This place was super fun, but the waiter was a little snooty. I went with a group of 20-25 and we sat in the area with the high tops, bat area. when he asked if he we were eating and we said we were just the he got snooty. Not sure because we were one of two groups and a few other people, was basically dead. besides that it was great, we all really appreciated the beautiful woodwork, wood bar, and tables.

The service and outdoor dining was great. The food and drinks not so much.

The last time I was at the Local was 2018 and the service was SO BAD. I also work in the service industry so I try to always give places the benefit of doubt. I went in today and also had a horrible experience! It wasn’t busy at all so I cant say what we experienced was because of apparent staffing issues. First off, we walk in to the host stand it smells like body odor. I figured it was a staff person nearby and don’t think too much of it. It is unseasonably warm outside. We go deeper into the restaurant and the entire place reeks of body odor!! We had to wait forever for our server to appear. We put our food in and it came out super fast and I was pleasantly surprised!! Well, turns out it came out so fast is because the fries were old. As a server, I have seen millions of old fries. The dude that dropped the food off didn’t ask if we needed anything and 10 mins later, the manager asked if everything was good. We said yes because we wanted to hurry and eat and breathe fresh air. The server (Meg) shows up when we are nearly done. The whole time I wanted mustard, I would have asked for mustard a long time ago if there was anyone to ask. We finish and another server grabs our dishes right away and we are left to sit and wait and wait and wait.. Meg finally shows up and gets our bill. We got the hell out of there because I was worried that from us sitting in the Local for so long we would also smell like b.o! (Refer to the body odor episode of Seinfeld). As we were leaving, the manager walked right by us and didn’t say anything. I was going to let him know our experience sucked and it stinks in there but he seemed to be in a hurry. In no way were we rude because rude people suck. In conclusion; the Local sucked in 2018. It sucked even more in 2022. Save yourself money and and save your sense of smell and go to the NewsRoom across the street.

Working with Andrew, the marketing coordinator at Cara Pubs has been an amazing experience. Coordinating with our organization, to set up events, run drink specials, and organize the pub for the most efficient use. We have been able to bring in 50+ members weekly for soccer events/viewings. So excited for The Local to be up and running, and our direct partner. Andrew has been essential to our success throughout this season. Looking forward to continuing and building this relationship.

Great pub experience. Pot roast was a little dry but really love the decor.

We loved this Irish restaurant! All of the food that we tried (fish and chips, meatloaf sandwich, corned beef, the mac, pot pie..) was absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself was very beautiful and unique. If we are in the area again we will be stopping by!

Love the place and the art that they have with the newspaper 🗞… the beer that the waitress recommended us was really good 😊 👍
