Yum! Excellent coffee in the morning and then stopped by again on our way out of town for some caffeine on our way back to Duluth. I had a soy latte and a caramel latte - both of which were great! Thanks Duluth for the great experience today!

Such a cute place! The coffee is amazing, as well as the food!

Northern Grounds is hip enough to feel like you can work on your screen play, but Northwoods Ely-esque in the same breath. The coffee is good, the wine is better, and the staff is phenomenal. The service is excellent and the attention to detail is superb. Highly recommend.

Very nice and cozy cafe! They have free WiFi and also offer a wide variety of drinks and food for purchase at a semi-reasonable price. The staff was nice and we'll mannered and the restaurant was clean and spacious. Highly recommend this place if ever coming through town!

Great place to grab coffee in Ely! We stopped a couple times while in town, and had great coffee and baked goods both times we stopped in. Has a hip coffee shop vibe while also having some stuff to make it have that up north vibe. Would definitely recommend.

Great selection of wine and great for afternoon work with WiFi.

Best pistachio muffins ever! Oh my so good!!! It was our first stop all three days we stayed in Ely. Great staff, great drinks, and the MUFFINS! YUM!

Really like this place. But have had multiple experiences of trying to grab a quick coffee and muffin and employees are to busy to help me so after 3 minutes of no acknowledgement I have walked out. Oh and I was the only person in the store. Have great patience if there is other customers ahead of me!

Nice space with a Northwoods vibe. Came for a well made latte, but noticed a wine bar at the end of the coffee bar. Great tinned ceiling and open brick walls. Free wifi, a noon in an area in the woods where internet coverage is very spotty.
Seating includes booths for two people, though especially good for one person working online. Larger tables can be conducive to meetings.

Small, cozy, quiet atmosphere. Great for reading, one-on-one meetings, and sipping some coffee (99% sure they roast the beans in-house too, which garners extra try-it points in my book)
