Bait and switch. The one I picked up from Whole Foods tasted great so I ordered from the site 6 to give to family and friends. They taste like dirt mixed with coffee. No scent like the first one, more like leftover scraps mixed together. Will be returning the unopened and opened bags, refund or not.

Great coffee. I usually buy their coffee from the store. My wife had a child at the hospital and got this place mixed up with Couppa Joe and told me to get her some coffee from Higher Grounds. Well they only have ceramic mugs to go and it was an interesting drive back to the hospital. Maybe it's my fault for not insisting on a to go cup. If you're looking for "to go" coffee, you might want to go somewhere else if you don't want to deal with a silly moral dilemma that could be covered by some biodegradable cups. Overall the coffee was worth the awkward looks and comments I got from people in the hospital.

I have purchased Higher Grounds from a third party vendor, before, but this was my first time visiting the shop. It was truly a wonderful experience. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind, and the vibe was very relaxed and inviting. The next time I'm in the area, I will definitely come again!

COVID has definitely been tough on everyone especially businesses, but Higher Grounds could handle things a little better I feel! Had to order outside online without being able to speak to a person and it took over ten minutes to get a cup of coffee.. super expensive too. Not a fan!

A coffee shop that truly appreciates the art of making coffee. I love the location - it's a beautiful area overlooking the renovated and majestic state hospital. I ordered a cup of Bolivian Caranavi in the Chemex, and my husband ordered a cafe mocha. Both equally impressive. Very knowledgable staff. Wish we lived closer or had something similar here on Long Island!

Staff are not always friendly. But the guy at the counter today was friendly. Coffee is never hot. Not a lot of choices for the lattes today because I can't have chocolate so the guy talked me into a cinnamon roll and I didn't like it. I wish you were like Oryana and could get something different. 12-8-17

Great coffee. The barista was helpful and friendly in creating a unique and flavorful iced coffee.

Although on the pricier end, the coffee has really good flavor. Both iced & hot americanos were well made and neither had under or over pulled shots.

I was up early and needed some coffee. The hours were wrong on Google and so I was an hour early, but the employee let me in anyways and served me. First class service. They also have trust system with their mugs that was pretty interesting.

I don't know how or why the staff is so cranky and rude. This was the worst customer service experience I've had in a while. The barista at the register had zero patience or desire to help us find something we would like even though we were friendly and polite.

The barista making drinks forgot our beverage and after asking about it when customers behind us in line had been served we were treated rather rudely.

Customer service isn't that challenging, especially when your customers try to be friendly, engaging, and ask good questions about the menu.
