I went in hoping to get a 8" cake made for a family holiday. I was automatically quoted the 8" would be $100 which I thought was insane. The woman I talked to was also extremely rude and before I could even talk about the way I wanted the cake decorated she automatically told me they couldn't do it. I was shocked by how we were treated there. I went to a few other local pastry shops who were all extremely nice and very reasonable and when I had told them what happened they said they weren't surprised, that it was very common of that shop. I called later over the phone to see if they would give me a different quote over the phone for the same kind of 8" cake and this time was told the base price was only 35. I'm not sure how I could get such different quotes between going in and calling over the phone but definitely is not a place I will purchasing from, let alone eat from between the price differences and how rude they were.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch while on the Michigan Wine Trail. Kind of a spur of the moment thing since we just saw it as we were passing through, but we're glad we did. We had a Ruben and a chicken wrap for lunch, and although they were a bit expensive for what you get, the quality was good and they tasted great. Chips came as the side and were just regular chips from a bag, which I thought was a little underwhelming given the price point, but fine. Reason I still gave 5 stars though was the desserts - I had a peanut butter bar and my wife had carrot cake, and both were excellent.

Stopped in after seeing sign for Blueberry buckle, which they were out of, which I totally understand BUT the women behind the counter was the rudest person I ever met. This was a older lady not a young woman, who should have better respect for customers. Won't stop again...

Wonderful prices, wonderful pastries, wonderful wonderful sugar cookies! They will also make specialty cakes for you, and pies!!! They have multiple breakfast items including different types of quiche, and crossant sandwiches. They actually have several items for lunch as well. The only problem with this place is that they're not open long enough during the week. Sandra Kay's is a highlight of living in Michigan! Go there and cheat on your diet! It's worth it.

This is a delightful little cafe off the beaten path. Breakfast is exceptional. Pastries even better. My son had his wedding cake made there and it was perfect. She even special delivered a tasting cake to DC so my daughter in law could approve ahead of time. Who does that??? My favorite is her carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Am about to order one now for a family gathering. Yum!

Fun and cute place in our small town. Really good variety of breads, cookies, pies. They serve breakfast and lunch. Need special something talk to her she has always baked my cakes free of allergens.

I stopped in on Thursday because I'd heard that they have some gluten free options. I was pleasantly surprised by the choices. I was helped by two young men both of whom were very kind and helpful. Thank you to both for your help and thoughtfulness. And what a cute cafe!

A rude man took cuts in line and upset everyone..sad to say but girls behind counter were scared and did not put him in place..get a ticket taker and all is fair

We all love Sandra Kay's! It's a 45 mile round trip and oh so worth it! I've been a fan since they opened many years ago. We use them for special occasions and any time we want delicious baked goods. Their German chocolate cake, banana cake, bread pudding are all exceptional! I could go on and on but you get the idea. I also always remember to tip generously!

Had homemade cherry pie. Very good. Nice place for bakery and breakfast/lunch. Nice people working at this Cafe. Highly recommended.
