God is good, and church can be an amazing way to experience Him and grow closer to others. But based on my years attending this church, I can not recommend it as a safe, healthy spiritual home. Guilt and fear are used to shame and control individuals. Those with real spiritual needs are shamed or asked to leave.

I've been at Grace Church for 24 years now and it has been the single most growth producing thing in my life! God has blessed this body in particular with gifted musicians, who are an impressive collection of young and veteran volunteers, from all walks of life, excellent at their craft.

I have been blessed to call Grace Church my home for 21 years. I love and value the focus on Bible-based teaching, prayer, clear presentation of the gospel and the call to holiness. Wonderful church.

I believe this to be the best coffee in Mt. Pleasant. The beans are fresh roasted and the baristas are well trained in the art of espresso. Don't be put off by the fact that the cafe is connected to Grace Church, they serve the faithful and the unfaithful alike with a smile. The building was formally a restaurant, there is plenty of space to spread out and study or just enjoy a cup of joe with a friend. It's also nice to know that the cost of your espresso is helping a community in an impoverished country to raise themselves up.

I have had the pleasure of knowing this church since 1999, about a year after I moved to Mt. Pleasant and they were at the airport and I went to my first ska concert, which I can say was impressive. I met Braun, Pastor Barry, and everyone else. I had left for about 10 years, but came back in 2008 just for a brief time and my experience was phenomenal.

Over the past year, I have been reading stories about people who have been involved with Grace who have been hurt over the things that have been going on within the walls. Unfortunately, most times, we are caught up more in what people interpret as the Word and what the Word is speaking than the commitment we make to God, whether it's to a church, teaching, or any kind of work that God has called us to do, and when we are pressured to go against what we feel as a belief, it's easier to just call it wrong, rebuke the whole matter, leave, and then tell everyone else what happened. So we lose sight of where God has really called us.

It grieves me to see the stuff that is being talked about against a pastor and his wife who are anointed by God until he says otherwise, and to come up against him because we disagree with what the man teaches, is coming up against a man that God has called. Remember King Saul and David, and even though Saul sinned, Saul was still king and anointed by God and David refused to come up against one of God's anointed. What your experience may be, is not the same as everyone else's, as I would say that my experience with Barry and the church is nothing compared to the rest, and sometimes our feelings and what we are taught by others to believe, is often reflected on the vow and promise we make to God and we use every reason not to fulfill that promise. It is unfortunate, but I have to stand with Grace Church on this.

Great community, fellowship, and a true love for the Word of God are just a couple of the things that have impacted me as I've grown in this church body. What a great place to grow closer to the Lord and the Central Michigan community!

Such a welcoming place for my family and me. Excellent worship and powerful, Biblical teaching for all ages. Really looking forward to being able to worship together in-person soon!

This place is so amazing, best coffee shop hands down. Don't know how you could give it a bad review, customer service is excellent and the options for coffee beats anything we have experienced.
