The Pour House of Lewiston, MI is a coffee shop and cafe located in a quaint mini-main street setting. The coffee shop is a charming spot with a cozy interior and a great atmosphere that encourages customers to relax and hang out. The shop offers a wide selection of drinks and food, including smoothies, sandwiches, bakery items, and soups. The coffee is always delicious, and the large selection of sandwiches and bakery items is impressive for a small place.

However, the business has mixed reviews. Some customers have praised the coffee shop's friendly staff, good coffee, and reasonable prices. Came in for coffees, a Reuben and chicken enchilada soup. We left very happy and satisfied. It was a fantastic sandwich and the soup was delicious! What a great place with a wonderful atmosphere, owner and staff.

Changing my review from 5 Stars to 2 stars.
I recently went in for a quick lunch, I was working on a house in Lewiston and the pour house was always a good place to go for a good bite to eat and a smoothie or coffee. My son and I got there around 12:30. There was an older couple sitting down at the couches, and another couple in there still deciding what to order and one man by himself. My son and I stood at the counter for a good 3-4 minutes before a women came out and she put an order at the opposite end of the counter and said order up. The older couple grabbed their order and the women working asked if they needed a bag if it was to go, and the older gentleman said " a bag is the least of our worries right now" and walked out. I thought that was kind of rude and commenced to ordering my lunch. My son ordered a smoothie, a deluxe grilled cheese and a cup of chicken gumbo soup. I ordered a smoothie and a rueban sandwich. We paid and sat down. The younger couple ordered their food right after us. About 10 minutes went by and the women working ran out and looked confused because the man that ordered his sandwich walked out because it was taking so long, she ran to his car and was able to give him his sandwich. 10 minutes after that, my son and I received our smoothies. They were very tasty. 20-25 minutes later my son was brought his soup and sandwich. While he was eating we could hear a women yelling back in the kitchen. Couldn't make out what she was saying but she didn't sound happy. She walked out to the register with a sad look on her face and said to myself, son and the couple waiting that she was really sorry, her cook didn't show up today and she was doing her best. We all told her no worries and do her best. While we were waiting more, we could here more yelling coming from in the back. After another 20 minutes the couple told us that they had to go because they still have a 3 hour drive, and if their food came out that we could have it. After a total of over an hour I still didn't have my food. I went to the counter and rang the little bell, I heard no noise in the back. I waited a couple more moments and my son and I decided to leave . My guess is that the woman working left 🤷🏼‍♂️. Really sad that I paid $20 for a smoothie and a sandwich that I didn't get to eat and wasted over an hour that I could have been working. After leaving I talked to a couple friends that live in Lewiston and asked them about their experience and shared mine they said that since the business had been bought buy a new owner it has horribly gone down hill. One of my friends said it was her favorite place to go and after going there with the new owners will not be going back.

This was my go to spot for coffee (even ordering online while I’m downstate) prior to being under new ownership. Unfortunately, since the change, customer service is not as welcome, food and drinks come out much slower, and I don’t feel welcome anytime I stroll in anymore. Not to mention it is an up north location and they were closed on a prime snowmobile day when we pulled up- no indication online that they were closed. Hopefully this changes. It’s too bad too cuz I’ve noticed any negative reviews or constructive criticism results in extremely defensive and sarcastic responses from the owner- so I’ve been nervous to review- but honestly, this was an overdue review.

Great little coffee house with a wide selection of drinks and food. The coffee is always delicious and the large selection of sandwiches and bakery items is impressive for a small place. The atmosphere is great for spending some time to relax and hang out. The service is a little slow but its often because they are very busy, so it is best to plan to spend a little bit of time there.

Lewiston definitely needed a place like this! A good coffee shop in town with a cozy interior and a good menu. They have vegetarian options too. Parking isn’t hard to find unless it’s a holiday weekend but even then you shouldn’t struggle to find a parking spot down the road. All in all a great place.
