Their gas is usually some of the cheapest in the area. The inside is always clean, the staff are nice, etc. My main reason for knocking off a star is their food/fountain drink situation. On many more than one occasion, I’ve tried to pour a fountain drink and either gotten carbonated water or a mix of two flavors. I’ve gone there to get a drink only to find that they only have the smallest (M) and largest (XXL) sizes—not to mention the fact that there’s almost always at least one out of order. On other occasions, they’re out of hot dog toppings (i.e. pickles, etc.). One time, upon asking if they could refill them, she said sure and that she’d let someone know. We ended up just checking out and leaving after waiting a rather long time. Not huge issues, but definitely inconvenient.
Holiday is a great chain. However, I was not pleased to see the cashier sans mask. It is currently mandated in the state. I understand the concept of medical exemptions. However, I cannot grasp why you would be working with the public during a respiratory pandemic if your lungs are too weak for you to breathe with a mask on. I understand that this is a no-win position because there are many people with opposite beliefs from mine, but I was still disappointed to see this business put personal choice above health and safety.
Stopped for the bathroom and snacks. Both were ok. Got done cheese curds which I missed, but the bathrooms were only ok. Used to be a destination stop for my family from say 1990-2000, I would avoid it now.
An ordinary gas station in a sea of gas stations. They often have gas at the same price as the Pines in Baraga, which is usually the cheapest of the bunch. Stop here if you're looking for an alternative with more neon.

Good coffee, good gas price, well lit at night so you can feel safe while pumping gas
