Love the atmosphere and hats. The food is mediocre. The bread bowl I got was 90% bread and very little soup, not hollowed out like it should be. Disappointing for the price. Tiny portions. The sweets tier has some tasty treats. You pay for the experience really. Good tea selection.

Every year my mom and I go to lunch here on black Friday it's become our tradition that we love. Very cute and relaxing place thats always clean and staff is friendly. Sadly they don't offer the Alfredo chicken lasagna I would always get and look forward to I hope they bring it back as that's my favorite dish they offer. We get the afternoon tea for 2 at the end we get a tray of goodies with cookies and sandwiches, if we don't finish the wrap them up in foil that looks like a swan or a little basket.

The food + tea are great! Unfortunately, the owner was rude. There are no signs posted instructing customers not to go through the drawers that are in the shop (they hold tea), and does not have any signs posted instructing a customer to ring the bell for service. She also bashed an employee in front of us. Disappointing behavior from such a classy businesses. Will not be going again.

Wonderful quaint, quiet place to connect. The tea is phenomenal and so many varieties to choose from. The food is delicious and the baked goods yummy. Highly recommend the full afternoon tea for a great luncheon experience!

Houghton's hidden gem! A huge list of different teas to choose from & homemade lunches that make u feel decadent. There are old time hats that you are free to wear while there plus everyone gets their own Victorian style China tea cup...no two are the same. Love this place!

We used to make it part of our yearly trip to the U.P. We went to go there with 12 people and were told that they could not take that many people at once. The tea room was completely empty, so I suggested three tables of four. The woman that I dealt with was very rude and would not let us come for a tea. The teas we had before were always o.k. and the food was just o.k., but it was a cute atmosphere and it had become part of our family tradition. Very disappointing. We will never go back.

My favorite tea spot. A wide selection that changes somewhat with the seasons.

Nice tea shop where you can enjoy a plethora of flavors. Staff was friendly and they even had tasty treats as well. Note: It was a little dark in the back seating area, and no free WiFi.

One of my favorite tea places in the world. I love it here. The atmosphere is great and all the tea and menu options are delicious.

Great food, service and an excellent tea selection. Try the Lapsang Souchong, smoky, delicious and unusual.
