The first time I went, I had a cortado. The espresso was good, but the milk was scalded (it's served in a glass, which was too hot to hold). Once it cooled it was pretty good though. I returned a second time planning to try their brewed coffee, but since it was a hot day, I got the cold brew instead. It was fantastic and more than enough to make up for the shortcomings of their barista.

Great drip coffee and espresso drinks - nice atmosphere too!

Aldea is an excellent coffee shop and has been my go-to place since summer 2017. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and go out of their way to take care of their patrons. Situated inside the Grand Armory, Aldea also has a great atmosphere - good background music, social for those who want it, and enough space to work quietly for those who want that. Good coffee, good tea, good people - you can't go wrong here.

By far the best coffee in Grand Haven. Theses guys are coffee purists and they know how to put out an amazing cup of coffee. The flavor is amazing. Will spoil you for anywhere else. If you're from out of town and want REAL coffee don't waste your time anywhere else. Bonus it's got a cool vibe too.

The vibes were good and the coffee was better :)

Aldea Coffee is the best coffee in Ottawa County...
If you have never had a cup of pour over coffee or well-made espresso, it may seem unusual or a foreign experience but I can assure you that you will find it worth it & fall for the amazing, delicious way coffee can taste. Not to mention how great the service is, the best pastries & how cool the armory space is... you've got to try this place & it will become your favorite coffee shop!

Things to love about this place: the customer service, the songs being played, the COFFEE, the vibe, the light bulbs, the fellow cafe-sitters, the fact that these people know their growers and their roasters. Also, THE COFFEE. Definitely pay this place a visit. If I didn't live far away, I would probably lose a lot of time and money here...and not regret it a bit. :)

I love that they source their amazing coffees from Honduran farmers, not some big corporate machine. Gilberto is my favorite coffee, and I love it in a cappuccino with house made vanilla syrup in it. The old Armory building is the perfect setting for their coffee house too!

I have spent an embarrassingly lot of my life in coffee shops throughout the world dating back to internet cafe's in the early 90's. So understand that I know a great coffee. Aldea is right at the top of the list. Wonderful coffee drinks made from their custom roasted coffee imported from growers they support in Honduras, really interesting staff, and the ambiance in the Armory is so damn comfortable that I wrote an entire adventure tale at one of the corner tables. Can't say enough...
