Libby's Downtown

You Must Stop Here for Breakfast (or Lunch ... or Dinner)

After leaving St. Ignace for a short vacation, we wanted to stop somewhere for breakfast. Our GPS led us to Libby's where our expectations were totally exceeded by the experience.

The staff is amazing ... yes we met Libby too ... and the food is equally as incredible. We had breakfast, which included homemade breads (which are actually yeast-based) and perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns.

We stuck around for some of Libby's famous chocolate chip cookies, taking four of them for the long trip back home. Only two of these large cookies were left untouched by the time we arrived back in Indiana. :)

Libby even made a special breakfast for our son - who only wanted to have a couple of eggs with shredded cheese on them. For the first time on our trip, his plate was completely clean by the time he stopped eating.

If you are near Cheboygan and are looking for something great to try, take the extra time to visit Libby's. I am sure you will find yourself writing a favorable review here too!

My burger was really good (super messy, but good) -- my burger perfectly cooked, my mothers was Very over cooked, but she doesn't want to bother people so she didn't complain.. fries were overcooked - but good. The tots... amazing.. must get!!!! All in all really good, very pricy.. 73 dollars for 2 of us to eat..

Cute place, waiter was great. There was no normal breakfast items on the menu like fried eggs or omelets. Pancakes were massive, no one person could eat three of them, they were delicious.. Menu items a little fancy.

Sat down for what seemed to be an enjoyable breakfast to only be ignored by the wait staff for 30 minutes. Could have been a great meal but i will never go back to find out. Good thing subway was close by for the hungry kids.

We enjoyed our dinner at Libby's. We managed to get an outside table for dinner. Our server was wonderful. We tried the pork chop (delicious and served with excellent mashed potatoes) and the Mac and Cheese with Pork on top (it was amazing).

Not many choices for vegetarians and vegans in this town. Stopped in here for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised! Excellent food good service! Fingers crossed they add some sort of a vegan or vegetarian burger on the menu!

Incredible seafood chowder, we love soups and this was the best we've ever had!
They have a fantastic menu, not too big, but the options are so flavorful it's difficult to decide. We had a roast beef french onion grilled cheese and a monte cristo with the chowder. The flavors were exceptional. The generous amount ingredients in the sandwiches are high quality, but they were both cold in the center and could've used a bit more time on the grill for more toasty color and flavor. The monte cristo bread could've used a slightly longer soak in the egg wash, it was a liitle dry.
The staff is very friendly and really pays attention to the customers and the wait times.
Overall, we'd go back and try more of the menu, especially the soups and quiche.

Great food, fun menu and great staff. Libby and the team had a dinner rush going, and managed it all with a smile and grace. 10/10 recommend and we’ll be back!
