A warm and inviting staff with a quality coffee variety and a great location in what was once a bank. Such local gems like these are what I love about traveling through the country. Local flare is always better than commercial in my opinion.

Cute spot for great coffee. Staff is always friendly.

This place is chill, great food for lunch, especially soups and cookies! I definitely appreciate the vegetarian options, soups seem always to be vegetarian. And Molly and staff are super good at what they do. I come here often.

Wonderful building, a former bank, with tons of atmosphere and a great light filled morning location---not to mention EXCELLENT coffee. Much attention to detail here from the pleasant outdoor tables and bench to the plantings to the artwork and books indoors. Thank you owners for providing us with a real Starbuck alternative!

My favorite work hangout in Buchanan. Great food... love the vegetarian options. Highly recommend the broccoli salad on the side. And of course the coffee is great.

Almost forgot. I stopped into sit, get a drink and a bite before wandering about some more. Very pleasant. Patrons and staff knew each other, but I didn't turn heads when in entered, so it was very inviting. Comfortable and the snack was tasty.

Union Coffee House is a gem of a coffee shop. Hidden away in the small town of Buchanan, they have great coffee (they roast their own beans) and even has occasional entertainment. While I am reviewing this spot very positively, I would prefer that you do not come as it is a bit of a hideaway for us...quiet and quaint.

Never had their food before yesterday. Ordered from them 2 days in a row and I’m not impressed.
Paid $11 for what could be considered a small- medium salad that obviously was not made fresh and had a vinaigrette that looked and smelled like industrial sludge.
Got a roast beef today - $9 for a sandwich with very little meat, too many peppers and made in a panini maker. Came with chips - a half handful that was stale and were the crumbs from the bottom of the bag.
The place is overpriced for what they do.
Do yourself a favor - get in line with your community and sell decent food with decent portions for a decent price.
Not going to be ordering again from there anytime soon.

We didn’t get any coffee but our sandwiches were delicious. I had the Kodiak bagel and it was amazing!

Wonderful place for a quick bite and great atmosphere! The owners dad is a hoot! Heard they also got a new espresso machine, lattes should be just as good if not better!
