What a unique new little coffee spot! My guest and I tried the PB & J latte and they were so different but delicious! They were prepared with beautiful latte art which we appreciated. The atmosphere is very quaint and modern. We met the person in charge of marketing the café and had a great conversation with her for like half an hour. Her name is Megan. Such a sweetheart and she had lots of recommendations! Overall, one of my new favorite Ann Arbor coffee shops, definitely worth a stop by!
Just happened to pass this new coffee place by this morning and decided to drop in… ordered a plain (unflavored) iced latte (but forgot to take a pic before I slurped it down… forgive me!) and it was delicious! Similar to Comet Coffee if you’re familiar with the area… but such better seating, outlets (!) and vibe (you can work here or chat with friends) for a pretty good price given the location. Latte was $4… which yes it a lot but it’s Ann Arbor so relative to the area I promise it was shocking not to break $5! Will be coming back for sure.
Great atmosphere to work, study, and chat! I also love that they serve crust baked goods, and they sell day-old pasties for half off!! I wish more places did this. The music in the cafe is also really good.
Tip: I’ve ordered a latte several times now on different occasions and the drinks are always a little too sweet (despite me asking to have less sugar!) and I’m not usually too picky about sweetness level. Just keep that in mind when ordering!
As a coffee addict, I had yet to find the perfect cup of Joe in Ann Arbor-- then Misfit opened! Not only is the coffee strong, fresh, and environmentally friendly, but the staff and management truly make this space unique. I can spend hours in here just chatting with friends and enjoying a variety of different hot and iced drinks throughout my study time. Ben, the general manager, makes sure to go above and beyond for each customer making this place not only a perfect spot to hang out and vibe to its sweet tunes but also to enjoy a cold cold brew on a hot day or my favorite, the Guatemalan pour over. My new favorite coffee shop maybe ever, a must see in AA!
This coffee shop is so creative and has an awesome vibe. Every drink is delicious and most of them are home-made. Probably the best space to do work in around AA. Ben, the General Manager, is so friendly and charismatic; he completes the vibe of Misfit Society Coffee Club. Absolutely LOVE this place.
Although I didn’t love the coffee, the inside was full of character and is the perfect place to catch up with friends or study! I don’t usually ever write reviews but one of the baristas was extremely kind and helpful today. She remade my drink for me and helped me find a different drink I’d like. She really went above and beyond, I appreciated her a lot.
Cool new place! Love the vibe and the tables are perfect to study at. I got the Sugar Daddy latte and it was really tasty, not too sweet and a great portion size. My boyfriend got espresso and he's pretty picky about espresso but he really liked it! Can't wait to go back.
Really cool new coffee shop with great vibes! The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming and the coffee options are great! The matcha is probably the best I’ve had in the Ann Arbor area!!
I don't usually leave negative reviews but I was so disappointed in this coffee shop that maybe my negative experience will help them improve in the future. I came to this coffee shop with my partner because we love exploring coffee shops we've never been to, and this place seemed to have opened really recently.
The storefront is cute, and I like the aesthetic. Seating is a bit sparse but it's Ann Arbor and the coffee shop is small. I noticed that the barista that took care of us didn't really seem "into it" and while they weren't rude, we didn't really feel welcomed either. My partner and I both ordered the sugar daddy latte, mine iced and my partner's hot. I also ordered an almond croissant.
When I got my drink, the espresso tasted burnt/sour and I couldn't really taste any of the flavoring listed... My partner's was alright, not burnt tasting but lacking in the flavor we were expecting. It was disappointing. But what was even worse was the croissant. I've worked in many bakeries for years and I know a good croissant, this wasn't it. It was so dry that when I talked it poofed out of my mouth in a cloud of dust. It was obviously a couple days old. The end bits were hard and crumbled. I had to throw it away because it just wasn't good and I was kind of salty that we paid for a super stale croissant. You could definitely tell even through the bag that it was stale. They had to grab it for me so... How did you not notice that it was hard?
Overall, I was really disappointed, and with so many quality coffee shops around Ann Arbor and Ypsi, this didn't even come close. You really have to stand out to succeed in this area, and this coffee shop didn't do it for me. I hope that maybe they take criticism and use it to improve things, but as it stands now, I would not go back, and if they choose to ignore criticism and feedback, I don't see this coffee shop making it to the end of the year. Good luck!

I like the Sugar Daddy Latte! They can adjust the sugar level so it is the perfect sweetness for me ☕️
