Old King’s Coffeehouse

I went there with 2 friends for a snack, I had iced tea with pumpkin bread. The tea was way too strong as I needed to put in 5 packets of regular sugar before I could enjoy it. The pumpkin bread was thick but not enough pumpkin flavor. We All needed a handicap parking space but there was none! I told the manager inside and given a poor excuse for no sign! The lady who took our order very courteous person!

Went here for a late breakfast with the whole family. There was plenty of food options, kids loved the breakfast sandwiches, I opted for the breakfast burrito which was filling and very tasty. My wife described her latte as the best coffee she has had in a while. Reasonably priced with speedy service, no complaints here.

Overall good place. I'm glad that we have year-round cafès on the cape that serve real food as well. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Ordering area is open and welcoming. Large and varied menu, but not overwhelming. Ambience is nice, sort of industrial cafè meets Maine log cabin. Quite airy. Large pickup counter, but low enough to watch the baristas at work. I ordered a double macchiato, and they confirmed with me that I wanted the traditional version with just a dollop of foam... I like that. Espresso was served hot but flavor was on the dark, earthy side. Acidity was quite muted. I prefer a brighter, more nuanced espresso, but that's just my preference. Apple croissant was not amazing. Thicker layers of pastry made for a denser, more danish-like experience, rather than the airy and light croissant-experience I was looking for. I may be wrong, but it didn't seem to be baked the same day... Maybe 1 day old. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked but very cold. Prices seemed appropriate given the supply-chain shortages and ensuing inflation. Will visit again to try the real food options. Would've preferred local coffee beans as opposed to Maine beans.

Both my date and myself had the bacon egg and cheese on a Portuguese muffin by far the best thing I've had for breakfast on the go in yrs if ever. I was on vacation and it deff was a great way to start my day. Their egg is super fluffy and flavorful and it was all amazingly fresh!.. if I'm ever in the area again I will always visit this spot !

I had an incredibly rad experience at this can’t miss coffee shop and will now be visiting regularly. Hunter was awesome at accommodating requests and his high energy and happiness is something that makes this place even better. Big love to this little place!

Great coffee, great food items (hummus wrap, breakfast sandwiches, Caesar salad- all delicious!). Busy at times, but they serve a high volume of customers in a very reasonable timeframe. Staff very accommodating- I once ordered a smoothie and there was a delay, so they gave me a complimentary coffee card, and a sincere apology- not something you see too often these days! Love the atmosphere inside, as well.

We tried coffee here the past couple of days and the quality has just been bad. The first drink was almost entirely milk and little to no coffee, so the next day I ordered the nitro cold brew. Something was wrong with this drink because the flavor was so offensive I had to dump it out after having 2 others try it and say the same thing. We have gone here in years past and it seems the coffee was better, so hopefully this is a fluke, but I’ll be finding a different coffee spot in the meantime.

Food so fresh and delicious! Manager and staff are professional, helpful and friendly. So happy there is finally a place like this nearby!
