Coffee and treats, no sandwiches. If you live in Cambridge the prices will be normal to you but if you're an outsider, the prices may be on the higher side.

service was very slow coffee was good pastries were just ok and kind of expensive

The chai was SO INSANELY SWEET it was undrinkable and I had to dump it out. I don’t understand how a coffee shop can’t figure out the correct sugar:tea ratio. It’s really not that difficult. What a disappointment

The story begins in 1995 - a story not so different from many other entrepreneurs and dreamers. At the time, finding great tasting, fresh roasted coffee was surprisingly elusive. So, Doug Zell and Emily Mange decided to do something about it. They didn’t set out to change the world, just a small corner of it.
Relocating from San Francisco, they opened their own coffeebar and retail store in Chicago’s eclectic Lakeview neighborhood. Roasting their coffee in-store, with equipment that was more antique than state-of-the-art, they honed their craft, seeking nothing less than perfection in every aspect of the experience. Little did Doug and Emily know that what started as a way to connect with people and the community in an intimate, personal way would blossom into something that would help shape an entire industry.

The chocolate and plain croissants looked great, but were stale and had no crispness
I think they might have stored the croissants incorrectly so they lost their crunch

Support your local coffee shop! These folks know how to pull a espresso and offer a wide selection of local baked goods as well! Love the ambiance, can be a little cold in the back forty during the winter months.

Nice and little cozy place. The coffee, croissants and muffins are good, but a little expensive.

Awesome place! Ordered a mocha, one of the best I've ever had. Rich chocolate flavor but not too sweet and espresso was great. Top tier gluten free pastries too, will certainly be back!

It was a great coffee. I couldn’t even take a photo before drinking it!
Brownies rich and yum

High quality coffee and espresso prepared properly. Great place for coffee! They also have a nice selection of pastries, some of them vegan and gluten free.
