Baked

Came here yesterday for the first time while exploring the area. Super cute place! It is all seated service with a waitress taking your order. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup - wow! The soup was so flavorful and the grilled cheese had the perfect amount of cheese without being greasy. My only complaint was that the portion was very small. I also got a cookie to go, which was phenomenal. Will definitely return if I am ever in the area.

We walked up today to eat and were laughed at for requesting a six person table. Waited 10 minutes and the hostess needed to get the manager to sit anyone. Decided to leave and order a few baked goods. The owner was too snobby to take our order and needed to get the “baker”. I ordered two macaroons and a scone. Apparently if you order a blueberry scone and it’s not blueberry no one will tell you and cannot complete the order. Chocolate chip scone it is. A large gentleman upon first order greeted me and disappeared when I asked to pay. Not sure what it takes to have people stop gossiping about terrible tables and hot weather but I’ve never been greeted with such rudeness. Save your money and go across the street. It’s better food and great service.

I ordered a Strawberry Rhubarb Pie for my wife’s birthday. It was delicious!

Recently moved to Shelburne Falls and Baked is a go to for breakfast. Yesterday I had the eggs Benedict Florentine and they were delicious, and I got excellent, attentive and friendly service from Pluto. Such a great start to the day!

Brunch was so good yesterday (try the quiche). My friend and I came back for breakfast. Such a comfortable place with friendly help and beautiful view on the river plus the food is delicious 😋.

Tried this place for the first time today. We sat indoors and our waitress was a young girl with dark hair named Christina. We placed our order with her. Our drinks came out 15 minutes later and the food took 1 hour to come out. Since we had been waiting so long for our food, we finished our drinks and wanted to order more drinks but the waitress never came back during that hour wait. Every time I saw this waitress, she was sitting on her cellphone behind the bar area or sitting outside chatting and hanging out with the hostess. I ultimately had to go up to the “to go” area to get myself another drink because our waitress was literally not doing anything. When our food finally came, I ate most of mine but the person I was with barely ate any of theirs. While eating, the waitress never came back to our table. Not even to ask us how our food was or to ask if we needed anything. She also didn’t ask why the person I was with barely touched their food. I’ve never seen someone with such a poor work ethic. Christina literally did the bare minimum required of her. Take order, bring order out, bring check. Nothing more. I actually started to wonder if she’s forced against her will to work here. Lol. Two stars are for the “autumn latte.” That drink was awesome. Food was decent. Service was awful. If we return to this establishment, it will be for to-go lattes and maybe try a bakery item.

Walking past this little bakery on a whim we stopped hoping to get a coffee and treat. There were a bunch of people there, and we waited to be seated. So many people working their saw us waiting, but nobody bothered to say they had just closed. Super helpful guys thanks.
I had wanted to try this spot for lunch for a while, but after seeing 7 staff members ignore customers for so long, I don't think I will give it a try. Plenty of cute spots to eat around here, why bother with the rude ones?

Amazingly delicious food. The portions are big, so just be aware. Lovely staff as well.
