We’ve been coming to Beth‘s since they opened. I ordered a birthday cake for my wife and was extremely disappointed all around. The ordering process left me with the feeling that it may not of been ordered. I went to pick it up on a Saturday & as a previous reviewer wrote it was incredibly disorganized. From start to finish it took about a half an hour to pick up my wife’s cake - which incidentally looked like a large cupcake for $30. The cake itself tasted stale and the icing tastes like they’re using Crisco… this was my last purchase at Beth‘s. There’s a lot better out there for baked goods, price, service, quality etc.

Warm and casual. Sandwiches of every sort and a kid’s menu. I had their summery fresh gazpacho and savored every drop. Be prepared to be tempted by a rich offering of fresh baked pastries.

Wonderful food, atmosphere and staff! Only thing to complain about is they close at 3pm.

Quaint cafe in the heart of the Sandwich historic district.
Good selection of tasty and reasonably priced sandwiches, salads, soups, and quiches. Tons of baked goods for your sweet tooth.
Recommended.

A quaint spot for lunch or tea and bakery treats. Enjoyed it immensely.

Ho-hum fare costing around $11-13 per sandwich (in 2022). Sandwiches lack flavor (pretty bland chicken/tuna salads) and made with grocery store level sliced bread.
Pastries seem to look better than they taste... agree w previous poster who said pastries only seem "lively but don't live up to visual expectations.
Not too slow though!
Final thought: lots of waste (plastic iced coffee containers, cardboard takeout boxes, etc) being used. A move towards encouraging dining in (and then using re-usables) and compostables seems in order.

This place has it all; the ambiance is beautiful --they usually have Sinatra and co. playing and not the ambiance-destroying top 40 noise too common today; the lunches are excellent, the desserts are so good it's a wonder every resident of CC isn't rotund. I especially like the oatmeal, the scones, the soups. Even the coffee is fantastic. The young women who work there are very gracious and classy. Beautiful place. PS/ I've read the (very few) 1 and 2 star reviews. They're written by cranks --count on it.

Love this place! I had tasty scones, not dry like other places, good coffee too. My friend enjoyed a very good breakfast with tea. We shared a chocolate pie, what can I say - wonderful!
10JUN17 update: my husband and I celebrated my birthday with an apricot bar and key lime tart! Enjoying them sitting on their porch was a perfect way to spend my birthday.

Nice food and friendly service, 1 star deducted cause the prices on the board hadn't been updated and we found ourselves paying more than we expected
