Uncle Jon's Coffee

I’m a local and watch this place get worse and worse! The employees there no clue where line starts and never keep up with customers! They care more about talking and dealing with who they know first! If you are in a rush don’t stop there, to bad place is actually good, but the employee madness ruins it! Older lady that needs to go and greet people at door and get out from behind counter! I never get aggravated, today was the last straw , today I end going there for good! Sad it came to this, would go everyday in hope of a change!

I got food poisoning here and wound up in the hospital for 4 DAYS from a BAD breakfast SANDWICH, coffee may be good but gave me SALMONELLA POISONING so steer clear of the food. I wish I could review differently to support this buisness but I am not the only person that has gotten sick from eating here.

I have lived in Marion for a year now and have watched uncle jons go down hill. From the lack of service skills, to their crazy old school ordering process that does not work leaving orders wrong over 80% of the time.
The walls have nothing on them, merchandise is gone, the outdoor seating is old rusty and disgusting. No one keeps up with the cleaning indoors especially the coffee area.
For over two weeks now you have been out of the coffee sleeves and are now giving customers two cups since the coffee is so hot. What a waste of business expense.
Either something is going wrong with the business functionality or they are in business crisis. I can no longer spent my time or money here
Uncle Jons you have given me no option but to switch to DD which is disheartening because I am all about supporting the small businesses.

Update - 4/30 Still an okay place BUT the staff there is disengaged and unfriendly!

Great coffee! Cool atmosphere and had a great cranberry muffin that was delicious!!

I've tried Uncle Jon's several times (there are limited options in the area), and have been disappointed every time.
First, the coffee drinks are nothing to write home about. DD is just as sufficient and cheaper.
Second, the staff is not particularly friendly, helpful, or knowledgeable.
Third, the way the shop runs is completely inefficient, creating long wait times. As Sweet Brown says, "I ain't got time for that."

Best local coffee house around. I go to both locations. Super friendly service! The food and coffee are on point eveytime. Best scones and Asiago bagles in South Coast Mass.

The counter persons are so disconnected. Interested in quitting time.
Keeping up with each other they do not pay attention to what customer needs or want. More than once I've been in and its the same experience.

Ok the coffee is good and the food is good but the place feels very disorganized. It wasn't that busy but it took a bit to get waited on. Someone was cleaning the counter space for customers yet did not empty the trash that was full. No trash cans outside. I have been here a few times now due to another coffee place being closed. Each time I wonder why I didn't do something else.

Although I'm not always fond of the service, their Lattes & food items are excellent. I also want to note that they tend to shut everything down 30 minutes prior to closing; so if you have a hankering for a late afternoon/evening latte, go else where.

Must stop in when you're in Marion or Mattapoisett. Great sandwiches, beverages, and and pastries. Much better than the big chains stores.
