I go to sweets and java often and always have a positive experience. The staff is very friendly and the owner, Kathy, is excellent. They always have something new to try also! When we needed food for the morning of our wedding and lunch time, we knew sweets and java was the right choice! Kathy was so easy to work with and designed a great menu for us. She wrapped items individually to keep everything as safe and all the food (as always) was excellent. Highly recommend!

Love their coffees and pastries! Our local favorite! Kathy (the owner) also worked with us for the holidays to provide pastry trays and quiches to our local fire and police departments. She was responsive, friendly, and so easy to work with! Highly recommend sweets and Java to anyone. Thank you again Kathy! đŸ„đŸ„źđŸł

My wife and I just recently moved into the area (Paxton) and we were looking for a coffee shop to go to for our long morning walks with our Dogs on Saturdays and Sundays. We went there for the first time last week and I must say that their Latte was one of the best I ever had. Also the employees there are super friendly and helpful.

I love this place! I used to work in Holden and would come here often. Now I only get here once in a while but the quality, service and atmosphere never changed, it's still all excellent!!! On this trip I got a chocolate chip scone and a shortbread cookie for my 4 year old. I didn't get a drink because I had a coffee in the car but if I had, I would have gotten the earl grey tea. There's is so delicious!! They have loose leaf tea that is very good quality. You cant go wrong. In fact I do not think I have ever had a coffee from here because their teas are that good!
My scone was delicious. My sons shortbread must have been too because he ate the whole slice! He never finishes the one from Starbucks so this must have been excellent! Everytime I come here it reminds me how much I miss it. I'll be making an excuse to get back to Holden very soon!!!

Sweets is an excellent local coffee house and pastry shop! Their lattes are superb and if you ever get a chance, try a flavour called the "harvest moon". I believe that it's vanilla and coconut. It's not on the menu, but the owner should know what I'm talking about. However, their seasonal lattes are always satisfying, and they have a wide variety of delicious pastries to choose from! I'd recommend the cinnamon twist or morning glory muffin (when available). You can also pick up breakfast there, with their amazing breakfast sandwiches!!! And if that wasn't enough, lunch their is even better! They have locally made bread, an excellent caramel-onion spread and a wide choice of meats and cheeses.

$6.90 after tax for a microwaved egg and cheese on a croissant (no meat!). By far the worst egg I’ve ever had on a breakfast sandwich. It was the texture of jello and completely unseasoned. Even McDonald’s doesn’t microwave their eggs.

Holden is my home town and I can say with confidence that this is the best coffee in town. It also has a great little atmosphere for one on one meetings. It's a bit small for parties above three, but that's part of its charm. It has changed ownership 2-3 times in the last few years but it always seems to be staffed by friendly people regardless. I would choose this place over Starbucks any day.

I really enjoy going to this coffee location. It has that nice feel to it when your looking for a coffee place that isn't a chain. This is a local spot near the center of Holden. I like the large variety of coffee options and the basic fact that the coffee is just darn good.

The best coffee around. Forget about Star Bucks and Dunkin' Doughnuts. Garbage coffee. Go for the best. Sweets 'N Java. I highly suggest the coffee of the month. Each month is a FANTASTIC 5* highest quality coffee available. If you want the best of the best, Go support Kathie, Hanna, Jake, and Angie . 5* workers for a 5* coffee shop.
Despite these hard times, the faithful customers will rally behind Kathy and Brian 100% Coffee is VERY important.
The coffee combo I suggest is dark roast cut with house blend. Very good combination. Becky, Caroline, and all the baristas do an amazing job.

Great snacks and treats, quick service and friendly staff. I order something here at least once a week and it's consistently great.
