Finally went to this location very long after the Ashmont location closed. The chai was not nearly as good as I remember--very bland, no spice to be found, not even a hit of sweet. Also, vanilla oat milk? Hard pass.
Some of the best coffee I have ever had. Excellence in coffee making. One of the few places that don't over roast their coffee beans. The flavors are nicely developed using some of the best coffee beans. A great coffee joint for everyone, including hipsters and serious coffee drinkers. They also have some pastry and other confections but the coffee is essentially where the attention goes and you can taste it in every sip. My friend once ordered an iced coffee. She then eagerly grabbed the cup once it was on the counter and started enjoying her heavenly cup. The barista had sampled the coffee before placing the cup on the counter, and decided that the flavor was ever so slightly off and brewed her another cup. Shockingly, it was even better!!! Now that's perfectionism and pride in making the best stuff! Yum!
One of the best places in Dorchester to get coffee... They roast their own beans right near where you order. The coffee is smooth and full of flavor notes. The cost is only slightly higher than DD and worth every penny.
A really great cup of coffee. I also purchased a bag of their home roasted Brazil. The coffee was buttery, smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. I will be visiting weekly. I wish they were located in downtown Boston too.
Coffee is good but interaction with staff ruined it. Engaging us conversation does not mean being totally and blatantly ignored. Person knew they were being spoken to and chose not to give a response right face to face. What kind of person does that?
The coffee was awesome. Very old small place could use a make over, pasteries were just ok. Again the coffee was the best I will try the 45 minutes for their coffee.
My daily coffeeshop. If I'm not there getting something to go, I'm brewing up the beans at home. Friendly, courteous staff. Best part, when they're roasting the beans in the morning when I'm there for my daily pickup.
