Came here with 4 other friends around 12:30 on a Saturday. This place isn't too big (maybe 30 or so seats) and there weren't many tables available so we had to split up after waiting a bit.
SETTING: Very cute with modern wooden tables; a great place to share a meal or coffee with friends. Lots of natural light.
SERVICE: Very friendly and attentive. No complaints.
FOOD: The menu has typical coffee house options (i.e. classic breakfast sandwich, oatmeal) but it has a middle eastern influence (shakshuka, halloumi, halva, hummus etc.).
I opted for the Levant Breakfast Plate which had a variety of elements (see picture below). At first, when it came, I was a little disappointed because of the lack of protein (I should have known better) but it ended up being delicious. The beet hummus was sweet. The labne spread with the zaatar spices was amazing to dip bread in, the halloumi cheese was rich, and avocado is avocado. Definitely a great way to taste a bunch of middle eastern flavors.
I also got a Hibiscus Honey Scone...just think about how yummy that sounds and it's better than that. The outside was crunchy and the inside was dense and soft. It was sweet but not too sweet. My friends who I shared it with kept sneaking bites so I had to keep an eye on them.
I also got a taste of my friend's shakshuka. We had just gone to Tatte the day prior and what I will say is that this shakshuka was thicker (less watery) and spicier but the tomatoes tasted less fresh than Tatte. The Tatte bread is also way better but they gave you more bread here. Sounds like a couple of options for a shakshuka taste-off.
I really want to come back and try the Toasted Oatmeal and the Stuffed French Toast. Those looked delicious too.
Tip: Don't come in a big group...better for 2-4

Definitely a top coffee spot in all of Boston and Cambridge. Got a cappuccino with their house blend, and their flavors were excellent, well balanced, and as described. The milk was luxurious, and the atmosphere is definitely suited for a short work burst if desired

AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS.
This place rates exceptional in comparison to other places around. Their latte is 10/10, great espresso, flavor & depth, top notch froth-it was perfect. I enjoy trying lattes at each cafe I visit. Some, like at big chains, are watery, the froth disappears after about 1 min and are also oversweetened-NOT here, you can tell this was made with care to honor what the beverage is meant to be like. I'll be back to try more drinks & also the food there.

Best roaster in the Boston Area. Full stop. They thoughtfully roast coffees from interesting origins with a variety of processing methods. In fact, they are one of the only reliable source of unique naturally processed coffees that I know of in the area.
The brewed coffee in the shop is just okay though. Espressos are tasty but lighter in body (highish ratio of around 2.75:1) and the batch drip brews are a little samey and often don't show much of the unique character of the coffee in question.
Their special drinks using syrups and interesting ingredients are awesome though! Don't hesitate to get one of those.
Also their food, when available, is great. Especially the baked good.

Great ambience and coffee. The minimalistic design of the place has its own charm, its very close to harvard.

Coffee - great. Scones - legit horrible. Service - lispy.

Coffee brewed and roasted under extremely precise metrics and conditions. The result is great coffee. Food is high end cafe food and worth having.

I visited this place in April during coffee Expo Boston. And I have try their coffee beans before that. Friendly people and great coffee.

Stopped by to try their coffee, went for the cappuccino. It was very lovely, not too acidic, just right. The coffee shop has plenty of light which was very nice on a sunny day. The staff is fun and engaging.

A really wonderful coffee roaster in the greater Somerville area.
Overall I have found the coffee to be of exceptional quality and the drink service to be smooth. I don't always enjoy every flavor combination, but the but the execution is first rate.
Coffee roasting happens onsite one batch at a time roughly once a week. Sandwiches, snacks, and other pastry items are also available.
Drinks of note:
- Seasonal soda + espresso
- Cortado with house made cashew milk
- Drip coffee
The environment is a peaceful work space that allows for productivity while not being a dead silent library.
