Great little coffee shop: terrific coffees, good food, friendly team, and a relaxing vibe. This venue is a very welcome alternative to the large chains.

I love grabbing a cup of coffee at Acton Coffee. The folks behind the counter are cheerful and helpful. They've a great selection of coffees and teas, plus some really nice baked goods. On a cold winter's day it's always toasty warm and relaxed.

My only (minor) complaint is that seating is limited -- probably to about 30 people -- which means you may have to order and leave. If nothing else it's a sign that I'm not the only one that likes the place. They do have free wifi and there's parking directly outside, or under the building they're located in.

FYI, there's a Little Free Library about 100 yards to the left of the entrance (see my photo). So if you're looking for something to read you might find it there. It was put up by Unicorn Books, which is about 300 yards away from the Acton Coffee House, again over to the left as you're facing the coffee house.

Music plays, poetry contests are run, people meet to chat or go therevto work. Interviews are held...Best of all Acton Coffee has great coffee and coffee drinks , tea, iced tea, lemonade. Also, cookies as big as your head and scones and muffins. Some gluten free. Early customers get the best variety in baked goods. There is seating both indoors and outside

I come weekly with a friend. The staff members are efficient but also friendly and helpful. Such a comfortable place.

We chose this place over Starbucks to support local. We had just arrived in MA on vacation and were excited to visit a small quaint town.

We placed our order and then stood with others to wait. One of the women making drinks would bring them up and set them in the counter, but her call-outs of the drinks was so quiet, no one knew what they were.

The next drink she set out after the smoothie my son ordered looked like the milky way blended that I ordered, but we couldn’t hear what she said. There was writing on the cup, so I stepped up and turned it so i could read it. It simply said “M blcoffe” so was it mine or not?

I stepped back and another worker with green hair loudly announced, “Just for future reference, don’t touch other people’s drinks because it isn’t sanitary.” THAT was certainly loud enough for all to hear. By the way, both the workers had touched the cup, no gloves. The creamers and other accoutrements sit on a counter for common use. But don’t touch any cups. Okay…

I asked her what the offending drink was, and she thought it was mocha. By that point, we had already been waiting for 15 minutes and I had been publicly shamed, so I just wanted to get out of there. I said I would just take that one, after all I’d already touched it. She replied, “Well, it’s probably someone else’s drink you’ll be taking and that will mess up other orders. We will remake yours.” I said it’s fine, and she said, “If that’s what you want to do, go for it.”

There were only a few people in there, and no one had made a move for that blended drink so it was most likely mine they messed up. I settled for a drink I didn’t order or want and I get a, “if that’s what you want to do?” No, what I WANTED to do was receive the drink I actually ordered. I guess that’s asking too much. Can I get my $5 tip and $15 for three drinks back?

Not great introduction to Massachusetts for this Midwestern girl. Next time, we’ll just go to Starbucks.

This place is amazing! Friendly, talented baristas. They serve Dean's Beans. If you don't know Dean's Beans, look it up! It will change how you buy coffee. Acton Coffee House has cool perks for doing good and buy fair trade coffee beans!

They don’t allow pets. No sign on door stating no pets allowed. Their reason was because they serve food.

Nice place to hang out and very good espresso and service. If only the one loud girl would leave as everyone else is either reading or having a quiet conversation. Get rid of her and great place to have a coffee and read on a rainy day. 5 stars when quieter as everything else is great.

My favorite coffee place around and one of my favorite local businesses! I appreciate that safety is a top priority here. The service is always excellent with the friendliest people. The espresso here is amazing and I appreciate the multiple alternative milk offerings. I'd recommend an iced mocha with oat milk - my absolute favorite! I love that the lids for iced drinks don't require straws.

Today wasn’t a good day for the coffee house, I have been buying whole beans for the last 6 months.. today going in .. I was not greeted with a nice beginning .. the girl left me standing with a pound of coffee.. a young man came in to deal with my order.. she made me feel that I wasn’t welcome .. I should have taken my business else where.. I will nit be back..
