The Muze Cafe

Let’s start with the good: The staff is so nice and helpful! The place is lovely and the location is great.
The grilled cheese sandwiches are literally two toasted slices of white bread from grocery store loaf of bread with a slice of cheese, tomato and some green. And it’s $10! - I really wanted to love this place but there is no excuse for that sandwich. 😞

First off this place shouldn't receive any stars. They reason I put one, it wouldn't let me post a comment if I didn't.
I do not recommend this place at all. Matter of fact they should shut this place down or fire the waitress that works there.
We sat at one of their tables outside less than 2 minutes to eat some fries that we had just bought at a different food place before the waitress came running with the menu in her hand telling us if we sat at their tables we had to order something of their menu or leave. I must mention that we are people of a race other than white.
So we left and sat across from the Muse Cafe on a bench just to take a little break.
While sitting there we see a white couple picking the exact table we have just few minutes before.
The couple had brought their own food and started to unpack and eat. About 20/25 minutes had passed and the waitress didn't even made a slight attempt to come outside to the couple. After 25 minutes I decided to go inside the Muze Cafe to confront the waitress. She then gave me the lame excuse that she didn't notice the couple eating at one of their tables.
I told her she noticed us after less than 2 minutes but the white couple she didn't !!!
We will never return to that spot again, obviously people of color have no place there

I'm sure others had a different experience but I can't give it more than 1 star. This place had us waiting 1 1/2 for our food. They literally served at least 5 other tables (that we could see) their food when they arrived much after us. Then avoided us the entire time then finally come and say laughingly that they lost our ticket and just found it so they are making our order now. Barely an apology. My oldest is special needs and this long wait completely ruined his mood. It was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! They could have done better with their apology and they should have rectified the situation when they realized they lost our ticket rather than avoiding our table. The food was ok but not worth an hour and a half wait.

The food is delicious!! Went there for breakfast and fell in love with the food can’t wait to go again

Fast and friendly service! I got coffee and a crape both were delicious! They do have a sign that says cash only but there are ATMs on the boardwalk.

Waitress was nice but they were out of a lot of things. We had ordered a turkey, BLT and they were out of lettuce and still charged full price.

Great outdoor seating, friendly staff, food was delicious, the only downside is a lot of the food items are a little over priced and it is cash only. And I did pull a hair out of my brothers bagel sandwich right in front of the waitresses and they said nothing. To conclude I would reccomend if your in a pinch and have extra cash

Edited Again: We went a third time. Will be telling anyone we know coming here to stop by, absolute treasure of a place. Keep up the great work!

Edit: Went again, this time we hit the jackpot. It was much less crowded, and got our food much faster.

This time we got the strawberry delight crepe, the muze omelette, and a bacon egg & cheese bagel. First of all, the crepe was amazing. Second of all, the muze omelette blew my mind.

Forget ordering waffles and pancakes, if you don't get at least one crepe you're making a mistake.

Original: Great batter flavor, friendly service, and the bacon/sausage was really good.

However a couple of unfortunate things led to 3 instead of 5 stars (though we plan on revisiting to try and correct this):

They were absolutely overwhelmed with customers which led to waiting for at least 20 minutes

We got our food to go, the food being boxed for just 5 minutes, which led to being colder and kind of soggy/gummy from moisture being trapped

They forgot whip cream on the waffle, and put powder sugar on the pancake when we had asked for none

I loved this tucked away gem! The coffee was good and the omelets are fresh and light. We also shared an enjoyable side of pancakes. Food is served outside under a pergola....very nice! Staff was friendly and attentive.

The good: Our server was really good even though she was swamped with orders, She is the main reason I am giving 4 stars. The crepe I ordered was the farmers crepe which was really good, I would recommend it. I had an ice latte which didn't blow me away but I am a coffee nerd so that is hard to do.

The bad: The place seemed under staffed it took a while to get seated and even longer to get our food. It was about 10am and they were busy. We waited almost an hour for everything. Again the poor waitress was by herself and super apologetic. She didn't mix our order up and we got everything we asked for kudos to her. I still would go back food was good just a longer wait so be patient.
