Came for the coffee, but stayed for our chat with Carlos! This place is amazing: great coffee, great staff, welcoming environment, super clean, fresh roasted beans on site—what’s more to want? I got an iced latte and it did not disappoint, but the espresso my boyfriend got was hands down the best espresso I’ve ever had. I’m from out of town, but if I’m back in the area I’ll definitely be back!
Have been to this cafe twice now. The pour-over is good (4 stars). The espresso drinks are disappointing (2 stars) because the barista does a poor job: the coffee is burnt and the milk-to-coffee ratios are way off (way too much milk) and not mixed properly. Don't get me wrong, I'll go to this place over starbucks any day of the week. But with so many excellent cafes in the neighborhood, Los Sueños must raise their game for me to go back there.
Hands down, the best iced almond milk latte I have EVER had. Wow. Smooth, silky, and just delish ! I live in DC and will be making the trip just to get Cafe Los Sueños coffee and beans - it is THAT good. The owner and his barista are equally phenomenal !
Great staff! In-house roasting always ensures you have fresh coffee any day of the week. I usually buy whole beans and have enjoyed the dark roasts. Give them a try and you'll never go back to Star*ucks!
The coffee is all roasted in the back, and Carlos takes so much care to get each batch as good as he can. Fun and kind baristas make it a really pleasant experience. Above all though the coffee truly is amazing.
Carlos is a vendor at Fairlington Farmer’s Market in Virginia. I have had the pleasure of sipping on cups of his delicious coffee beans for years. He is so friendly. I have not been to his new shop but I highly recommend his coffee! My favorite is Honduras - Honey Process (a light roast), but you really can’t go wrong with any bean.
The cafe had this beautiful clean, modern look to it and felt very cozy and friendly at the same time. Blues and whites and copper adorned the walls and bar. The barista was friendly and very proud of his craft, deservedly so! The espresso I had might be my favorite in Baltimore.
