44 North Coffee - Stonington Café

Worked as a barista and used 44th North so it was really exciting visiting the actually site! Lovely coffee, people, pastries, environment, and everything else.

Delicious coffee and baked goods at this lovely place. Pour over coffee is so smooth! Friendly staff and a great vibe for those seeking a little pick me up.

We drove 50 minutes to get here and were really expecting something great (especially with the line of people inside). I have been to many coffee shops across the country and I've never seen one that offers a coffee experience like this. I expected that every coffee shop would offer lattes and the option for hot or iced, but that was not the case here. I got an aeropress Ethiopian coffee and added oatmilk and simple syrup. It was surprisingly good. However, the French press was extremely hot and tasted awful once it was cool enough to drink. We ended up dumping it out. I just wish I knew what kind of experience this was before we took the drive.

Always wonderful coffee and fresh homemade local pastries. The pastries go fast though!

New in 2021. I am writing this review July 27 2022. They serve a variety of coffees from small and local coffee roasters, brewed, french press, etc etc. No cappuccino or lattes. They offer fresh croissants, scones and muffins with deliveries daily from three local bakeries. The pastry is delicious, and service very friendly, Go early as they may run out of pastries in the afternoon.

A lovely little coffee shop, right on the coastline! You can tell they mean business as they offer a number of different brewing options - pour over, aeropress, espresso, etc. (be still my heart!) - Great coffee spot, well worth a stop if you've got a good book and nowhere to be!

Beautiful café, really friendly staff, traditional way of preparing coffee, and a great place to read and draw. I'll be back!

Lovely atmosphere with welcoming staff and jazz standards placing in the background. The coffee is really special... Brewed by the cup. Definitely visit to relax in Stonington.

Best coffee in Maine! Staff super kind and enjoyable to talk with. Great baked goods too! Easy place to hang out if you need to do some work. Good hours and wifi. Winner all around!

This is legitimately the best cup of coffee I have ever had. Everyone was so friendly and the coffee was ready very quickly. We came off kayaking the Maine Island Trail and the coffee shop really hit the spot after a long paddle.
