Tried their cinnamon rolls......best I have ever had. Loved how big and light they were. The frosting was a bit sweet for me though. Overall I wouldn't change a thing. The coffee was great also.

Visiting from upstate New York, Uncle introduced my boyfriend and I to this quaint little coffee spot! Coffee by Design may be my new favorite!! Sandwiches were also amazing! Parking is a little wonky, and it can be a bit crowded inside, but if that's a pleasant atmosphere for you, I highly recommend!! ☕

Highly disappointed... I would have rather paid more money in order to have the old huge cinnamon bun.. literally half the size, but still the price.. I understand things are rough all over but half the size? Totally disappointed... raise the price and increase the size back to what they were before...

Sub-par coffee. I ordered a 16 oz iced latte with pumpkin spice.. I watched the barista fill my cup up with milk to where there was less than a half inch of cup left to put espresso… and I couldn’t even taste the pumpkin spice flavor. So basically I paid over $4 for milk.

Great location with reasonable pricing.

Cute little spot in OOB. Their iced dirty chia is perfect. I wish I had been hungry to try a baked good or sandwich.

The ordering set up is a bit odd with ordering in the middle of the store and coffee pick up in the back. The sit down tables are at the front of the cafe. The baristas only give you half a second to claim your drink in the back of the Cafe before yelling it over and over.

Decent breakfast sandwich, amazing cinnamon bun! Very fresh. My husband had a good mocha latte. Unfortunately the only decaf option was drip coffee, my reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Really cool place though.

To the girl working at the register this morning, June 5: today is our first day in OOB, and my birthday. My family and I walked to this cafe this morning intending to get coffee and breakfast, but noticed the masks required sign outside. As we had only one mask, not anticipating masks being required, I went in to see what I wanted while my husband waited outside with our boys. When the line grew behind me I decided to place our order and run out to get my husband’s credit card. While I ordered, not only were you were not wearing a mask, but you rolled your eyes in annoyance when I asked about children’s steamers and wanted to order food, and then belittled and embarrassed me when I tried to hand you my card after coming back in (thinking you wanted to close out that transaction right away before moving on to the next customers).
I grew up in a similar beach resort town as this one in DE, and also worked at coffee shops there as a teenager. I know what it’s like to deal with obnoxious tourists and I am not one of them. Overall the food and coffee at this cafe was fine and the other employees seemed very nice, but we will likely not be returning during the rest of our visit thanks to my experience this morning.

The Asian wrap and the chicken salad sandwich are a home run as is the Americano coffee. Had a complimentary sampling of "just out of the oven" pumpkin whoopee pie & it, too, was delicious. The many homemade pastries are calling my name, but so far I have resisted. Their ingredients are all top notch, the atmosphere and decor are perfect for a great breakfast/lunch experience. Thanks Lisa, can't wait to return.

Asian salad was sparse and the chicken was thigh meat, not the usual white meat. I was very disappointed. However, the gluten free berry muffin and Chai Latte with coconut milk were very good on another visit.
