Lots of specials which is always nice to see, there's a variety of seating making it a nice place to work. If I had to find a single fault it would be that the set up is a bit wonky to walk into, labeling where to order and where to pick up would solve this problem easily, but again I'm being nitpicky.

The coffee itself is alright. Wasn't overly impressed, but it was good nonetheless.

What a lovely coffee shop! The owner and his staff were friendly and welcoming, greeting regulars by name. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie!

I ordered a favorite: a cuppa of hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin, perfect for an midafternoon snack after wandering through some of the shops on Main Street.

It was a cold, rainy day, but they shop was busy with several young people working on laptops, reading a paperback or writing on a notebook. Traverse is the perfect spot for it.

Can't wait to go back

This is my favorite coffee shop of all time. Perfect atmosphere, delicious coffee, great breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. They always have creative and tasty seasonal drinks in addition to a full menu of any coffee based beverage you could want. You can grab a coffee and a seat on the back deck and enjoy the beautiful view of the Kennebec river, go for a walk on the rail trail, browse the shops of Hallowell, or hang out inside.

I live just up the street from Traverse and have visited a few times. Kyle, the owner, is always working behind the bar and is incredibly friendly. He makes it a point to connect with each customer that comes through his doors and make his shop a welcoming environment for all. The coffee is very good too. I am making it a point to come back weekly now and enjoy the deck!

I’m so happy to finally have a legit coffee shop in the area! I was born and raised on the west coast. I know good coffee. They know what they’re doing here. Kyle and his wife are also incredibly kind and friendly. My husband and I went in once, and then went back a month or more later, and Kyle remembered our names and what we do for a living. The coffee is good, the pastries are good, the staff is awesome, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Traverse Coffee truly is my "happy place". I come here at least once a week and can not recommend it enough! I've tried almost every drink on the menu and they are all delicious as are the pastries and breakfast sandwiches they have to offer. There is plenty of space both inside the shop and outside on the deck so that if you want to stay for a while you can do so without feeling crammed in a small space. I often will bring a book with me and read while I drink my coffee. The prices are more than reasonable for a small, local coffee shop. Both Kyle and Michelle are incredible owners and really make an effort to get to know each and every one of their customers on a personal level. They know all their regulars by name and are always upbeat, friendly and kind. I am so glad they opened up this coffee shop and that I was able to find it! Although my wallet may not be as happy lol. 🤣

Super place. Friendly staff. Nice place to stumble across on while in town for business. I'll be back for sure.

Traverse is a peaceful place to bring your laptop and work or just sit and sip. They have fantastic beans from a hand selected California roaster. Best of all, the company has a mission! They contribute 5% to kids in foster care with the home for little wanderers. Check out the heart wall displaying photos and bios of kids in need of adoption. Thank you for paving the way for these awesome kids!

I love them. Two of the sweetest people ever. I'm pretty sure they can make you whatever you can think up. The coffee is top quality, and they're accommodating to allergies. I trust them fully. The house cold brew is made fresh quite often, if you are a native New Englander like me who won't order a hot drink for anyone. Their creative drinks are also incredibly well done, if you want a homemade take on a seasonal classic.

I love this coffee shop! The feel is great and the customer service is outstanding! Kyle, the owner, is the best! I would recommend it to anyone visiting Hallowell!
