It's The Met! This is an amazing MUST stop in Freeport for a quick and affordable Breakfast or Lunch. Great for family and kids, plenty of indoor seating. Menu options are plentiful and they have a kids menu, as well as plenty of various drinks including great designer coffees. Make sure to try an Italian Soda and a chocolate chip muffin!

We enjoyed lunch with old friends here this week. My sandwich was delicious, sliced turkey and cranberry sauce on a unique ciabatta bread. The service was very quick and I was surprised at how short was the wait. My only complaint was the music being rather loud and making conversation difficult.

Stopped into the Met for lunch. The food was fresh and good quality. There's a reasonable menu of hot and cold sandwiches as well as some nice looking pastries. Had the Ham & Cheese Club on sliced Sourdough and would recommend it. The menu, including drinks are made to order and are delivered to a counter. The atmosphere is relaxed and the seating is very comfortable.

Pretty sad. This place was good when it opened. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Since opening it's gone far downhill. The only good thing you can get now is coffee or a bagel with cream cheese. Tried getting lunch here and they were out of everything fresh. No grilled chicken, no roast beef. I ended up with a chicken sandwich that was just a gross children's frozen chicken tender on bread with mozzarella and mushy tomatoes. Very disappointing and certainly not even worthy of the local cafe image this establishment wants to promote. Horribly overpriced food and misleadingly pretentious.

Went for breakfast. Had Belgium waffles. The side sweet potato tater tots were soggy and tasteless. The waffle was doughy. The Apple compote on the waffle was mediocre stuff from a can. Finally, after firmly establishing that I was going to get real maple syrup, I was given maple flavored corn syrup. I suspect that the staff doesn't even know what maple syrup is. But the ambiance was nice.

Warning: their food is so good its addictive. This is my favorite place for lunch. The pesto chicken panini is my new favorite meal of all time. The service is super friendly and efficient too. Along with every other cafe drink you could want, have plant based energy drinks called the Lotus Drink and it’s amazing. They also exhibit local artists’ work in there which I adore. We need to support our artists! Thank you Met! 💕

Staff seemed new, a bit under-trained. My ice latte had 4 small ice cubes in it. At least a glass of ice was provided when I asked. The food was a bit pricy for serving size. Many offerings came on lavash—they had none. They bake their goods, but do not make them.

Food was really good and so was my tea. Came for a work meeting and sadly it looked like the school got out sooner, so it was noisy and they were rude to people in their surroundings. But everything else was great about this place.

We stopped here to kill some time around bunch. I got the Reese cup hot chocolate which was good, but you could not Reese in it. Cookies were really good.
My only con with this place is there is not anything like this close to where I live. If you are in the area, and need a place to relax for a bit definitely give this a try.

Nice Coffey shop right on Maine street in Freeport. Lots of cool art to look at, and very comfortable couches and seats. Good selection of both coffee's and tea. Small but good selection of food. Right across from the Starbucks, and if you wanted to do something a bit different than your usual Starbucks run give The Met a shot.
