Flexit Cafe

This place is awesome! Great coffee, delicious sandwiches and pastries and a great homey, arty vibe. Comfy chairs. Free wifi. And surrounded by other cool small businesses: artists, clothiers, bakers (a whoopie pie shop!). So glad we stopped here!

This place was awful. It so desperately wants to be cool with it's hipster crew and pretentious menu items (that don't begin to live up to their names. I love the creativity, but if you can't back it up with flavor, don't even try). There were 6 employees behind the counter, no one waiting ahead of me, and it still took 20 minutes for them to make a hummus wrap. They obviously hire based on looks and hipster attire, because this crew was seriously lacking. None of my food was good (hummus wrap with tabouli side), and it certainly wasn't work $12. Will venture elsewhere next time. (Try Morton Moos Icecream around the corner. It was fantastic, and their staff werebawesome).

Caprese sandwich, even sullied with the gluten free bread I require, was wonderful, all the tastes fresh and like they should taste! Gazpacho was wonderful. Slightly pricey, but worth it!

Great vibe, good coffee, and really upbeat staff. A previous review said they were requiring masking despite vaccination status. That wasn’t the case when we walked in.

Loved all of the gluten free options! My husband enjoyed the duck BLT and I had a delicious GF cubano. Both sandwiches had great side salads too.

Very welcoming atmosphere and what a pleasant surprise to get a proper cuban sandwich in these parts. We will definitely be there again!

Took 45min to get two breakfast wraps after ordering. Food was ok, staff was nice, space was cute. But completely unreasonable wait time.

Tasty breakfast and lunch options - but most importantly for me they had numerous gluten free alternatives (and didn't charge for them!!)

Stopped here on our way out of town after camping in Acadia Ntl park. We were looking for good food and coffee without spending too much time and found Flexit on a Google search. We arent picky, but we know a good breakfast spot when we see one and this a great one. Breakfast sandwich and buritto were awesome, coffee was the best wevwe had all week, but the hybrid juice/smoothie "mango zinger" was life changing. Staff was chill and friendly. Indoor and small patio seating and Saturday farmers market next door. If youre in the area for Bar Harbor it the park, or for any reason, definitely make this part of your trip.

Such a cozy café! Great food and coffee for sure. I'm glad I started walking and exploring the town I live in, it's my favorite little place in Ellsworth now.
