Camden Deli

Didn't care for the seafood chowder,no fish or shellfish in the soup.more like a bagged soup from Cisco.also very dirty tables and dusty napkin holders,etc.not so great.

5 stars for the rooftop. Food was average. Have definitely had better lobster rolls on the main drag of Camden - but I’m seeing tons of great reviews about food quality, so maybe this was an off day.

Honestly I wouldn’t have bothered writing a review at all but the customer service was really awful. We’re tourists, like many of their customers I’m assuming, and have noticed that Maine service is not on the super friendly side, but this was beyond. The male manager/owner (not sure) treated us like inconveniences despite us buying almost $100 worth of food and drinks. One person in our party tried to go upstairs to see if there were any rooftop tables available. We were yelled at to stop and wait for him to tell us it was okay. Totally fine to have COVID procedures but you can still have good customer service and manners - I know, I work in restaurants. My mother was also yelled at for pushing her mask to the side for less than 5 seconds to answer her phone, which she ignored ultimately. Again, safety first, but there’s a way to ensure safety and not make your guests feel unwelcome. The boat captains in Camden Harbor have been doing it for years. The irony is that they were completely out of hand sanitizer and did not provide napkins when the food was brought to us. Also trash was overflowing upstairs where we bussed our plates. So priorities were a little skewed. Just a really unwelcoming experience and I’m assuming/hoping it was an off day. And again, I shouldn’t have to qualify my review, but my entire family works in restaurants - during COVID - and understands that health is a priority, but would never dare treat customers like this.

Very nice people, fast delivery’s great view such good food and they give you a choice of upstairs or downstairs, outside or inside I’d definitely recommend to peopl e who are visiting Camden

Not very friendly. Sales would probably improve if the staff was polite. New normal I suppose.

Great food, friendly service, and a fantastic view!

We stopped by yesterday before hiking. Three of us had delicious sandwiches and the staff was very friendly. Since we live in Midcoast Maine we will be back for sure. Glad we found you! The desserts looked amazing too!

Service was slow and had to remind them about our drinks. Latte was poorly made with barely any milk, one sandwich we got was good and the other was just okay, would not go back but limited options on a Sunday afternoon for a quick bite while exploring town.

So I deleted my last post of this place because I felt bad and because I thought it was the right thing to do but after ordering my favorite sandwich I have ordered for years and have it on the same bread all of a sudden the last 3 times I have ordered it has not been the right bread and instead of saying they are open till 6 they need to say 530 because that's when it's to much for this little shop to take orders if u try to order at 530 they won't take ur oder because it's too much for them to handle

My wife saw some good reviews of the Camden Deli as we were traveling in the area. We spent some time walking around the Camden area and then we stopped in for lunch. First, the downtown area is beautiful and we really enjoyed browsing and enjoying the harbor area.

My wife decided on The Surprise and I had The Olad. Both were really delicious, we shared, and the portions were great for the price. The folks behind the counter were welcoming and helpful as we took a few moments to decide. When my wife had a question one of them came around the counter to answer the question which was a nice gesture.

We were able to find a table by the windows overlooking the spillway and enjoyed watching the birds and boats.

We were tempted by the many lovely desserts but did not partake.

Very nice and clean place! The food is prepared infront of you oh and the sandwiches are AMAZING! They are huge jam-packed with Boars head meat and fresh veggies! Its always a treat to get lunch here, Love love to eat here! And so will you!
