Bagel Central

The people and bagels of bagel central are great. It's an excellent breakfast spot if that's what you're after. Their spanakopita and hamantaschen- also very good! That said, if you're going there for much else the quality kinda dips. The only thing I would outright dissuade folks from grabbing is the coffee (watery) and potato pancakes (greasy, doughy and very saddening).

Delish! First time here and I got a breakfast sandwich. The bagels are so fresh and tasty. Will definitely be back.

Best of the best. We got their lox bagel three times during our stay in Bangor. Efficient setup, staff are friendly and fun. Super fair prices and great dining area.

Pretty good homemade bagel but the flavored cream cheese is the star. However service needs some work. Even though it was busy, since the bagels and spreads are pre maid it shouldn't take 25 minutes to get a bagel Togo. They also suffer from the same problem most places do: too much spread. The eat in orders had the spread on the side which works well but for Togo orders the spread is on the bagel. When you bite in and enough spread comes through the middle to get on your nose, you have put too much on. I had to wipe half the spread off with a napkin.

My husband and I very much enjoy having breakfast at bagel central. The bagels are made on site every morning. You do not ever get day old bagels. If you order a bagel it's fresh! These bagels are great as bagels get. They have a variety other foods and desserts, such as a spinach pie, and chocolate eclairs. Our favorite is the everything bagel with olive cream cheese. The coffee is always hot and good. If you are ever in Bangor looking for a good authentic breakfast experience, I highly recommend you try Bagel Central.
