Perks Coffee & Cafe 2

I love the coffee, pastries, and environment here. Haven't tried the actual food yet but I suspect it's great. The manager Dara is amazing and they always welcome me in with a smile.
Definitely stop here for some morning Joe and a marble muffin

I love this restaurant/cafe. Everything is fresh and the service is normally great but what I don’t like a bait and switch or price flip. If you advertise a price or a price is on your signage you have to honor it.

I ordered the $5.00 lunch special & a Caesar salad with bacon in which the up charged a $1.00 which is fine. I’m thinking okay $22.00 with tax. I get to the window and it’s $30.00 plus change. The lady at the window tells me that we have a sign that the prices will be different….ummm ILLEGAL. You can’t have a full menu sign with prices and a small sign saying you will up-charge certain items.

A up charge and a price change is two different things. Now I see why I’m always the only person in line every time I come, no matter what time I come. I thought it was always my lucky day. This explains why All the restaurants around them are always full. You would have more business if you were honest. You can’t change prices when you get ready.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

The woman at the drive through asked me a few times to repeat myself on what I wanted. I specifically said I wanted honey butter with my biscuit. She replied rudely " I heard you the first time." When I got to work, surprise surprise there was none on it. I called the manager because frankly this is a very expensive biscuit. She replied rudely "What do you want me to do about it" She said "I can give you some honey butter" Um excuse me ma'am, but I am calling you so obviously I am not at the place. She said that next time "Be more specific." I told her I don't know how to be more specific than what I was. The whole team over there seems to be very rude, but obviously the manager sets the tone for the place.

On top of everything, they don't feel like it is worth it to update their menu with their prices and put a little sign at the window after you have ordered. You feel like it is acceptable to charge your customers more, but not be transparent with your prices on the actual menu....

Clearly, this establishment does not truly care about their customers.

Had a decent latte but as other reviews stated the "market pricing" is insane. The menu pricing for my order (brunch + drinks) should have been around $28 after tax and ended up coming out to $41. Zero transparency and incredibly predatory business practices.

The prices on the menu are a complete lie. Extremely overpriced. It's a shame because the food is actually VERY good and fresh, and the workers give good service. Update your signage instead of bait-and-switch business practice.

Nice coffee shop. Be aware that they offer more than coffee and pastry, as they do have a full menu. It's quiet and it opens early. It's convenient to a number of hotels.

Was visiting N.O and was told about this place. I ordered via drive through. Was charged almost $3 more at window. When I asked about difference in price, the young lady said “ Yeah it cost too much for them to redo the menu board so the price increases aren’t reflected “. Contacted the business email and never got follow up. Shady business practice.

Menu prices are nowhere near correct, in store or online. Signage in the store says it’s too difficult to update menu prices, but there’s no excuse to keep from updating prices online. For instance, a cold brew is over $2 more than listed menu price.

Amazingly delicious food! Awesome and friendly service. Can’t wait to go back and try other items. Coffee was also great!
