The only thing coming out of the speakers was Elvis music!!! Loved it! Loved the decor! Staff very friendly, food was good. It's a little expensive, $40 for 2 people with tip, and it took 30 minutes to get our order and we were the only patrons there. Everything is cooked fresh and from scratch at the restaurant, no pre-made food at all. Skip it if you're in a rush. If you have time for a leisurely breakfast you're probably going to love it!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Cutest little coffee house with the yummiest food. I love their brownies, chocolate cake, croissants, lemon cake, ALL of it. Everything always taste home made and the ladies who work here at the sweetest. Gonna keep coming here for as long as its open.

Went inside to inquire. Waitress asked if I my husband and I were dining in, we told her yes and we were going to sit outside.

She brought us menus, never asked if we wanted anything to drink.

It's been 23 minutes and neither of the 3 waitresses inside have come to ask us if we're ready. Hubby even went in to check and they said they would be right out. That was 10minutes ago.

Menu has very little to offer. And if it's anything like their service..
I'd suggest picking something else.

Will.never be back.

Love this place! Been coming here for years. Great atmosphere... Best Cuban sandwich... (I like mine with no bbq sauce)... Sweetest sisters to chat with... Love dining in for lunch, as I always leave more relaxed and less stressed than when I walked in. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch, or coffee and dessert.

Found this place on Google and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We waited about 45min for chocolate chip pancakes, French toast and pancakes and grits. French toast didn't taste good at all, it was regular toast bread, not sourdough. My husband's pancakes were edible. Kid ate the pancakes, anytime there's chocolate chips on it, the food gets eaten, so no true indication there - smile. We asked to substitute bacon with eggs/grits
The first server said it wouldn't be a problem. Then the second server said they weren't going to charge is for the substitutions...
We will still use Google to find some hidden gems, unfortunately this was not one.

Stopped in on our way home, wanting to try a local spot. Service was poor. Waitress was rude from the get go and struggled to perform her job with only a handful of people in the cafe. Leaving three stars cause we did enjoy the food and coffee.

Went in for some iced coffee before dropping daughter off at airport. Wonderful little gem! The sisters are so warm and friendly. Don't be in a rush when you go--enjoy the oldies music and bring a book. Lovely place to just hang out by yourself or a friend. Going back for the Roast Beef Po Boy next time in NOLA---heard it and the wedding cake is to die for!

The two sisters that run this cafe are absolutely adorable, warm, friendly, and abundantly accommodating. I had a cup of broccoli & cheese soup and an egg salad sandwich on a toasted, buttered croissant. The egg salad was delicious and, I was told, prepared to order. The plate special of the day (Friday) was RB&R that came with garlic bread and a side salad. If I had had the kind of grandmother that actually knew how to boil water, I imagine visiting her home kitchen would have felt just like this visit to Le Petit Cafe. They probably would have put more on my plate to "fatten [me] up" if I'd let them. I don't often find myself in Kenner but I would go out of my way to visit again and patronize these lovely ladies!

These people must write their own reviews. We ordered two French onion bowls which was just salted water with almost no onions at all, tasteless slickly mass which cannot be called cheese. There were literally no onions at all. I mean come on are onions not readily available????? I firmly believe the French onion soups came out of a can. My wife ordered a Mimosa which was Orange juice. It was replaced with a real Mimosa after my wife told the lady about it. I almost wanted to say something about the soup but didn't since I felt sorry for the old lady who was so nice to us. But once I came up to the register to pay I was told that it's $28. I almost swallowed my tongue but still didn't say anything because whatever I would have said next would have been just inappropriate. So I stayed quiet and left vowing to never come back to this place again. $28 for salted water, a Mimosa and a beer. Wow. Take your money somewhere else people. Zero stars. Negative stars if that would be possible.

Great place to de-stress, and have a wonderful lunch. The three sisters who run the place, are as sweet as ever and a joy to know. The Cuban sandwich is my favorite! If you want a traditional Cuban, ask them to hold the barbeque sauce. They always know it's me when I call in to place my order in advance. I love this place! The ambience is perfect to unwind and take a break from a hectic day.
