The Tea Cup

I love, Love, LOVE this place! If you are in Taylorsville for any reason, stop in for breakfast and some fresh coffee and pastries. Lunch is equally tasty. No parking for boats, but there is a sizeable lot around the corner.

Very nice small place to stop for lunch. Love their offerings of sweets. Have really never had a bad item here. Highly recommend!

The Tea Cup is easily the best place to eat in Taylorsville, hands down. They make everything in house. Wide selection of desserts. The best tasting sandwiches. The friendliest staff of any restaurant/diner you could go to. Exactly what youd expect and want out of a small town diner. Will always be my number one place when eating in town.

Their coffee and cookies were very good, however I din't feel very welcome. I usually enjoy family own places like this one, but if ever in Taylorsville I will go to Macdonald's.

Why do I get "The Tea Cup" on a Google search when I'm trying to locate "Main Street Cakes" in Taylorsville. I've had their products (Main Street Cakes) and they are both delicieous and beautiful. I haven't heard good things about "The Tea Cup" but I've never been there. I just find it unusual that I search for "Main Street Cakes" an get "The Tea Cup."

We stopped in for lunch during Octoberfest in Taylorsville. We ordered 5 sandwiches and drinks. The turkey, roast beef, and chicken salad sandwiches were good cold sandwiches. I was disappointed because the restrooms were not available during the Octoberfest. I understand you don't want everyone using the restrooms during a large event. However, when people are spending money in your restaurant, and they bring their children in, you should allow them to use the restrooms. A dining experience isn't just about the food.
I would recommend giving it a try as long as there's no special events.

Don't let the name fool you. This place is a full on bakery with more types of muffins than you can think of and whole pies to go. Everything I've had there has been delicious including their lunch plates.

Had a great lunch today. Vegatable soup and a hot ham sandwich, then dessert consisting of pecanthat tastes great. More like homemade, unlike the commercial pies in grocery stores. Dovid has done a great job since opening many years ago. I want the Teacup to stay around, for it is among the best we have in Spencer County.
