Good/great home style comfort food, prepared on site fresh - including salad dressings.
Pleasant surroundings with great service and plentiful portions. Big front porch to relax and wait if restaurant is busy, but waiting is worth the visit.
My personal opinion is more seasoning could be used, but that's my opinion. Also possibly my preference, the fried cornbread was more like a crepe - very thin, not like what they used to serve when it looked like a pancake, still very tasty.

Was told about this place by a customer of ours. To be honest after looking it up on maps I never thought I would be in the area to give it a try. However after a night in Cincinnati for a concert, we found ourselves close enough to go out of our way for this place. We are glad we did! Service, Atmosphere, and the Food was excellent. We enjoyed the meatloaf fried chicken and the pork tenderloin. If your close by give this place a try! The lemon 🍋 pie was best I have ever had!!

Found this restaurant on the "Get off the couch and see Kentucky "app. It was good with large portions of country cooking. I had the roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and green beans. The Mrs tried the fried chicken, which was delicious crispy juicy and white. The couple with us had the liver and onions and grilled chicken. The grilled corn bread was thin and crispy and fantastic with applebutter! For dessert, I tried the blackberry cobbler, and the Mrs had the peach cobbler!

Oh my goodness! Finally made it there, took me more than 10 years. The BEST fried green tomatoes I've had in a long time! Our waitress Analise was wonderful. She put up with, and gave right back, to our crazy bunch. Everyone was well fed with good food and served with kindness. Thank you SO much for a wonderful KY treasure in the middle of nowhere. If you're reading this review and haven't been...GO! You won't be a bit disappointed!

Was told by a friend. Me And 2 others went. Possibly the very best country cooked food I've ever had. Large portions. Cornbread , fried green tomatoes, meatloaf and home pies and cobblers. Absolutely delicious!!!

Quirky & quaint country style home cooking. I was so excited to see fried cornbread on the menu, but really disappointed when they came out looking like overly large potato chips. Needed a bit more 'bread' in my opinion. They were still tasty.
Grabbed the special beef liver & onions with REAL mashed potatoes. It was delightful.
Hubs had the country fried steak & a baked potato.
Our overall group had food that was on the lukewarm side, and service was a smidgen less than spectacular (adequate)
Our friends had the peach cobbler with ice cream they declared to be amazing. They also highly recommend the potato bombs.
If you miss country Cooking or if you've never enjoyed it, check them out.

My grandfather loves this place. It's decent for what it is. A better quality cracker barrel is what I would call it. The staff is friendly and professional. The manager seems to be a people mover. Food is good. Prices are fair. If in the area try it out.

Wow! I’ve never had a bad meal or experience there and went there for years but tonight my cod was cold, the waitress was questionable, my to go order of what used to be a bowl of pinto bean soup with corn bread is now not even a half filled tiny to go container and considered a side item. I went to order blackberry cobbler and the waitress never even offered us desert and gave us our bill. I asked for the cobbler to be added and she said they were all out and never offered anything in its place. The girl standing at what used to be the register barked “you pay at the table”.
Very disappointed! It wasn’t even as busy as I’ve seen it before, especially for a Sunday.
This fly was in my pinto beans. 😳

It has been several years since I had gone to Our Best, and it did not disappoint!!! I live in another state, visit family here in KY and we always try to go to Our Best! Freshly cooked, home style cooking can't be beat! Delicious pies, coconut cream over the top. And always the thin, crispy fried cornbread with apple butter. 💜

Definitely the best prepared country cooking I've ever had. We reserved for a large group of 21, and I was surprised how fast and efficient our service turned out to be. They didn't seem to mind that we stayed an hour after the table was cleared, either. Family have been meeting here monthly for years and will recommend it to all.
