We stopped here for a quick bite before going into the caves. You go over the bridge from the Mammoth Cave Vistor Center to reach the Cafe. We got a pre-made egg salad sandwich for $8. Naturally, food and drinks are overpriced to take advantage of tourists. Despite having to pay a lot for a sandwich, it was delicious. Staff were also friendly.
During the coronavirus pandemic: They have social distancing indicators in place. Traffic is one-way. Enter through one set of doors and exit through the next. Seating indoors is limited, but there are a lot of places to sit and eat outside, too.

A welcome respite from the heat. Why not reward yourself with a sandwich (pre-made) or better yet Chaney's family owned ice cream. I received a generous dip of Big Red Rumble with velvet cake and chocolate. Surprisingly mild (I was expecting a very rich flavor) but nonetheless very creamy and ultimately satisfying. Plenty of seating though you may have to be patient in the ice cream line.

Food is basic deli fare, pricing is reasonable, and is good for a quick meal. A nice place to relax after hiking.

We ordered 2 cheeseburgers($7.00 each) and an all beef hot dog(3.95). And it took 21 minutes to cook them. Even if they were raw it takes 12 minutes tops to cook a burger, BUT the burgers were the size of a standard coke can, and thinner than my pinky finger nail. I used my own finger and my dads Coke he bought to make those measurements. Can’t comment on the ice cream, but seeing as it isn’t made in house im sure it’s delightful.
Oh... and the cookies were hard.

We stopped here for some ice cream after our first cave tour. They had some nice options and toppings and the ice cream was delish. It was a nice setting right in the park at the visitor center and a refreshing bite after a great cave tour on a hot hot day!

These ladies were so wonderful and helpful to make certain that we had Celiac friendly gluten free food. They even make phone calls. The burgers were awesome and the ice cream was the best. Really great service and some of best gluten free food on our vacation in the past week.

Julia, we visited a few hours after you and greatly benefited from your inquiry ! I have Celiac as well, and was resigned to having no safe ice cream options. The staff not only understood my needs but had ready answers, changed gloves and scooped from a new container—I was over the moon! Many thanks to Haley and Melissa for taking care of us.

Eh. They didn't have chocolate ice cream. We did get two scoops of vanilla for 7 bucks. So, it's ok for overpriced basic cheap food.

Not many food options out near the Cave visitors center. It did the trick, fed us before cave spelunking. Hamburgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, chips, snacks, sodas, etc. a little pricey but with few options in the area we didn’t have much choice.

Not sure what the "burger" actually was it does not look, feel or taste like meat. Not many other options around here unfortunately. I've had better "food" at most fast food places I've eaten at.
